⚠️ Problem 1: Multiple Connection Methods for Poseidon D50 Soundbar

Recommended connection order: HDMI ARC → Optical → AUX → Bluetooth → USB

HDMI ARC Connection

Steps:

  1. Check if the TV and soundbar are connected to the port marked "ARC" or "eARC". (Note: "HDMI IN" ports without ARC support are not compatible.)
  2. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN (ARC) port on your TV.
  3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI (ARC) port on your soundbar.

Diagram Description: Illustrates connecting a TV to a soundbar using an HDMI cable. Shows the back panel of a TV with HDMI ports including "HDMI ARC/eARC" and the back panel of the soundbar with an "HDMI IN (ARC)" port. The diagram emphasizes using the ARC-compatible ports.

TV Settings:

  1. Ensure Dolby is turned off.
  2. Verify the PCM audio output setting is correct. Typically: SettingsSound OutputReceiver HDMI (ARC)SoundExpert SettingsDigital Audio OutputPCM.

Soundbar Setting: Ensure the soundbar is switched to ARC mode.

Cable Check: If connections and settings are correct but there is no sound, re-plug the HDMI cable or try a different HDMI cable.

Expand Knowledge: Connecting Other Devices (e.g., TV BOX, DVD)

Connect devices like TV BOX or DVD players to the TV's HDMI IN port (not directly to the soundbar unless it has a compatible input). Use a separate HDMI cable for the ARC connection between the TV and the soundbar.

Example: DVD Connection:

  1. Connect an HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI input port (labeled HDMI IN) to the DVD player's HDMI port.
  2. Use another HDMI cable to connect the TV's HDMI ARC port to the soundbar's HDMI ARC port.

Settings for DVD Connection:

  1. Set the TV's Audio/Sound output to "PCM".
  2. Set the soundbar's audio output to the "ARC" channel.
  3. Configure the DVD player's Audio/Sound output to "Bitstream".

? Note: Ensure the TV signal source is switched to the correct HDMI input port used for the connection.

⚠️ Optical Connection

Steps:

  1. Connect an optical audio cable from the TV's "Optical Digital Audio Out" port to the soundbar's "Optical in" port.

Soundbar Setting: Ensure the soundbar is switched to OPT mode.

TV Settings: Verify the TV setting path is correct. Typically: SettingsSound OutputOPTSoundExpert SettingsDigital Audio OutputPCM.

Cable Check: After connecting the optical cable, check if the other end has a red light. If not, try a new optical cable. Avoid bending the cable, as it contains special material.

⚠️ AUX Connection

3.5mm-RCA Audio Cable Connection:

  1. Connect an audio cable from the TV's "Audio Out" port to the soundbar's "AUX" port.
  2. Ensure the TV's connecting port is "AUDIO OUT", not "AUDIO IN".
  3. Use a 3.5mm cord for the AUX cable.
  4. Ensure the AUX cable is not damaged.

Soundbar Setting: Switch the soundbar output to AUX mode.

? Note: To switch to another mode when AUX is connected, unplug both ends of the AUX cable from the devices first.

⚠️ Bluetooth Connection

Steps:

  1. Switch the soundbar to BT mode using the remote control.
  2. On your TV, navigate to Sound OutputBluetooth Speaker list. Turn on Bluetooth and connect to the soundbar device named "Poseidon D50".

Connection is successful when you hear the voice prompt "connected".

Diagram Description: Shows a TV screen displaying the "Bluetooth Speaker List" with "Poseidon D50" listed as a device to connect to.

To disconnect: Press and hold the BT button on the remote control for 3 seconds. The BT indicator will flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.

Bluetooth Connection Problems:

  • Ensure Bluetooth version is 4.0 or higher.
  • Keep Bluetooth devices within 5 meters (approx. 16 feet) of each other.
  • If experiencing connection or lag issues, turn the Bluetooth device off and on again. If problems persist, restore factory settings.

⚠️ USB Connection

The USB port is for connecting USB flash drives (up to 64GB). It cannot be used to connect devices directly via a USB cable.

Supported USB formats: FAT; FAT32.

When a USB flash drive with music is plugged in, the soundbar will automatically enter USB mode and play the music.

⚠️ Problem 2: Poseidon D50 Wireless Subwoofer and Wired 2*Surround Speakers Connection

? Tips: If there is no sound or abnormal sound after connecting and pairing the subwoofer, try unplugging and restarting the subwoofer.

Connecting to Subwoofer and Surround Speakers

  1. Use the provided 6m RCA-RCA cables to connect the subwoofer and surround speakers. Match the color interfaces on the speakers with the corresponding ones on the subwoofer. Place the surround speakers accordingly.
  2. Connect the subwoofer to a power source using the power cable.

Diagram Description: Illustrates connecting a subwoofer to two surround speakers using color-coded RCA cables and connecting the subwoofer to a power outlet.

Subwoofer Pairing Method

The subwoofer is pre-paired with the soundbar by ULTIMEA. However, re-pairing may be necessary if there is no sound from the subwoofer.

Recommended placement: Pair the remote control close to the LED display of the main soundbar, and place the subwoofer next to the main soundbar.

Pairing Steps:

  1. Ensure both the main soundbar and the subwoofer are connected to power and turned on.
  2. Position the remote control approximately 1 foot away from the soundbar, pointing it towards the LED indicator.
  3. Long-press the "BASS M" button on the remote control for 5 seconds until the main soundbar displays a flashing "SUB".
  4. Long-press the "ON/OFF" button on the subwoofer for 5 seconds until its white indicator light flashes rapidly.
  5. Within approximately 5 seconds, the subwoofer's indicator light should stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

Diagram Description: Shows the soundbar, remote control, and the back of the subwoofer with its power button and indicator light.

Subwoofer Abnormal Working Problem

  1. It is recommended to place the subwoofer on the ground for optimal use.
  2. Do not block the soundbar or subwoofer horn with external objects.
  3. To enhance the subwoofer effect:
    • Turn up the volume.
    • Press BASS: Select "BS 1" or "SR 1".
    • Test with a heavy bass song at maximum volume. Place your hand near the subwoofer to check for vibration.

? Note: For a better listening experience, place the soundbar and surround speakers at sofa sides or near ear level.

⚠️ Problem 3: Adjusting EQ and Bass Settings for Optimal Audio Performance

  • BS -3: Almost no bass

Recommended Settings by Mode:

  • Movie Mode:
    • EQ Setting: Movie-Eq01 (for stronger audio effects, low or high frequencies enhancement).
    • Bass: Set to BS -1 or BS 0 for good sound quality.

? Note: If distortion occurs, reduce the soundbar volume.

  • Dialogue Mode:
    • EQ Setting: Dialogue-Eq02 (emphasizes clarity of voices and dialogue).
    • Bass: Set to BS -1 or BS 0 for good sound quality.
  • Music Mode:
    • EQ Setting: Music-Eq03 (for balanced and clear audio effects).
    • Bass: Set to BS 1 for the strongest bass effect and high-quality sound experience.
    • Surround: Set to SR 1 for the strongest surround effect.

⚠️ Problem 4: Support Control of the Soundbar with TV Remote

Method 1: HDMI CEC

Different TV brands have varying methods to enable CEC. Check if your TV supports the CEC function first.

Once enabled, you can control the soundbar's power (on/off) and volume using the TV remote control. This functionality is exclusive to HDMI connections.

Other connections like Optical, Bluetooth, AUX, and USB do not support HDMI CEC. For these, you must use the soundbar's remote control for volume and EQ adjustments.

Setting: Ensure CEC and PCM are enabled on your TV. (Example: Samsung TVs)

Diagram Description: Shows TV screens with remote control interfaces, highlighting volume and power controls, and mentions CEC functionality.

Method 2: IR Code

IR Code: 000BBB

? Note: Suitable for Amazon Fire TV.

⚠️ Problem 5: Is the Remote Control Insensitive or Not Working?

First, confirm if the remote control emits a light.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Environment Lighting: Bright fluorescent lamps or direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal. Try dimming lights or closing curtains.
  2. Battery: Replace the battery in the remote control.
  3. Aiming: Point the remote directly at the center of the soundbar when pressing a button.
  4. Distance: If the distance between the remote and the main unit is too great, move them closer.
  5. Bluetooth Connection: If using a Bluetooth connection, some remote buttons might not be supported by the streaming application.

? Note: If issues persist, contact the seller's customer service for a replacement remote control.

⚠️ Problem 6: Unable to Power On

  1. Confirm the power adapter is properly connected.
  2. Check if there are any lights on the speaker display screen.

If the problem cannot be resolved, contact customer service for a replacement product.

⚠️ Problem 7: Noise Issues

  1. Ensure the TV sound output is correctly set: SettingsSoundDigital Audio OutputPCM.
  2. It is recommended to use MUSIC mode and keep the volume within 27.
  3. Try changing to another sound source.
  4. Compare other connection methods: HDMI ARC → Optical → Bluetooth.

⚠️ Problem 8: How to Restore Factory Settings

With the soundbar powered on, long-press the remote's mute button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings. The soundbar LED will display "RST".

⚠️ Problem 9: Low Volume

The maximum soundbar volume is 40.

  1. Try different audio sources.
  2. Compare other connection methods: HDMI ARC → Optical → Bluetooth.
  3. If connected via HDMI ARC: Ensure HDMI CEC and PCM are enabled. Then, increase the volume using the TV remote control.

⚠️ Problem 10: Intermittent Sound, Delayed Lag Problem

  1. For stable and lag-free performance, ensure Dolby Atmos is at least 40Mbps.
  2. Try playing local video files to check for intermittency.
  3. Confirm the connection method; recommended order is HDMI ARC → Optical → Bluetooth → AUX. If an interface issue is suspected, try a different connection method.
  4. Cable issues may occur; it is recommended to use an HDMI 2.0 standard cable or above.
  5. Interference from other Bluetooth or 2.4GHz devices can cause problems. Maintain a connection distance within a room with no barriers.
  6. Do not place the soundbar near a router.

If problems persist, re-plug the subwoofer power cord and re-pair it.

⚠️ Problem 11: How to Connect the PC

Bluetooth Connection to PC

Switch the soundbar to BT mode. On your PC, open Bluetooth settings, search for the soundbar's BT ID "Poseidon D50", and pair. Connection is successful upon hearing the voice prompt "connected".

PC Sound Settings:

  1. Open the sound icon in the PC's bottom-right corner and select "Headphones (Realtek Audio)" or your soundbar's output device.
  2. Ensure both the PC and soundbar volumes are turned up.

? Notes:

  • When in AUX mode, unplug the AUX cable from both devices before switching to another output mode.
  • For desktop computers experiencing no sound or only noise when connecting via AUX: Try a different AUX cable, switch to a laptop, or replace the headphone interface on the computer's back panel.

⚠️ Problem 12: Missing Connection Cable or Remote Control, or Faulty Connection Cable

Examples include: Power cable, AUX cable, remote control. (Specific product accessories are subject to the product manual.)
