ROTWILD R.R275X Quick Start Guide
Introduction
This Quick Start Guide provides essential information for your ROTWILD R.R275X electric bike. It is intended to supplement, not replace, the full user manual, which can be found on the ROTWILD website.
Powering On/Off: To turn on your R.R275X, press the button on the display. Holding the button for more than three seconds will shut down the system.
Charging: When the battery is low, you can charge your ROTWILD Bike directly on the frame. Connect the supplied charging lead to the charging plug located on the bottom of the down tube.
Riding Profiles
Your ROTWILD bike offers different riding profiles, selectable with a short press on the display button:
- Eco: Suitable for flat to hilly routes. The system smoothly switches off at 20 km/h.
- Medium: Ideal for tackling hilly to mountainous terrain on loose surfaces.
- High: Assists you in climbing long and steep ascents.
Boost Button
The R.R275X features a special Boost button. Activating it provides maximum power (300 watts for up to 30 seconds) for situational acceleration, regardless of the current riding profile. The riding profile indicators will flash during activation. Releasing the button returns the system to the selected riding profile.
Integrated Lights
Your ROTWILD bike is equipped with integrated front and rear lights. The front light is activated using the light button on the right handlebar end. The rear light remains continuously on for safety.
Display Information
The display provides key information:
- Battery Status: Horizontal bars indicate the battery charge level. Each bar represents 10% of the charge.
- Range Extender Status: Dots show the charge status of an optional range extender. Each dot represents 20% of its charge.
- View Switching: Double-click the display button to cycle through different views in the lower display field. Available views include:
- BATT: Battery level.
- KM: Remaining range.
- W: Current power output (rider and motor).
- KMH: Current speed.
- RPM: Cadence.
Connectivity
You can connect your ROTWILD Bike to the TQ E-Bike app:
- Turn on your bike.
- Tap the "Connect" button on the app's home screen.
- Enter the numbers shown on your bike's display into your smartphone and confirm the connection.
The "Motor Tuning" setting allows you to customize the motor's performance for each riding profile.
Additionally, your ROTWILD bike can be paired with a Bluetooth or ANT+ compatible bike computer. Select at least one sensor on your bike computer to establish a connection.

Intended Use & Restrictions:

- Do not exceed the permissible total weight (bike + rider + load). Refer to Chapter 4 ("Technical Data") for total weight limits and bike weight.
- The bike is designed for single-person transport.
- Tampering with the drive system, especially tuning, is prohibited.
Pre-Ride Checks: Before each ride, inspect the bike for damage, paying close attention to the frame, fork, handlebar/stem unit, drive unit, and seat post. Do not use the bike if damage is detected.
Component Temperatures: Be aware of potentially high temperatures of components like brakes and the drive unit, which can increase the risk of injury.
Carrying Objects: Follow the user manual guidelines for carrying objects.
Legal Regulations: Comply with local legal regulations for use on public roads.
Transport: Consult Chapter 10 ("Transporting Your ROTWILD Bike") of the user manual and relevant transport regulations when transporting the bike.
Essential Checks Before Riding:
- Brakes
- Steering
- Suspension
- Lights (if applicable)
- Secure fastening of handlebars, stem, wheels, mudguard, and pedals
- Tire pressure
Inspection and adjustments should be performed according to ROTWILD specifications in Chapter 6 ("ROTWILD Details") of the user manual.
Riding Behavior: Familiarize yourself with the bike's riding and braking behavior, electric assistance modes, and walk assist function, especially under varying suspension settings, in wet conditions, and on loose surfaces.
Maintenance & Service:
- In case of damage or malfunction, have your bike inspected by a ROTWILD specialist dealer before further use.
- Regular inspection and maintenance by a ROTWILD specialist dealer, as per Appendix I ("Inspection Notes"), are crucial to prevent hazards like wear.
- Observe specified torque values (Nm) for component assembly; your dealer can assist.
Battery & Charger Usage:
- Use only batteries and chargers approved by ROTWILD.
- Follow Chapter 6 ("ROTWILD Details") for battery charging and usage, paying attention to ambient temperature and charging location.
- Use only undamaged and unaltered batteries and chargers.
