The Swissvoice G50 is a new smartphone designed for seniors, offering a user-friendly experience with features like:
- An easy-to-use interface with two modes: Simple and light Android.
- Text-to-Speech support for messages, dialing, and other functions.
- An integrated SOS button for emergencies.
- A desktop easy-charging base for convenient power management.

The G50 smartphone features the following physical components:
- 1. Power Button: Turn ON/OFF the screen (long press for Power ON/OFF).
- 2. Volume Up Key: Adjust volume upwards.
- 3. Volume Down Key: Adjust volume downwards.
- 4. Front Camera: For selfies and video calls.
- 5. Receiver: Earpiece for calls.
- 6. Touch Screen: The main interactive display.
- 7. Task Manager Key: (Android mode) Access recent applications.
- 8. Home Key: Return to the home screen.
- 9. Back Key: Go back to the previous screen.
- 10. Torch Sliding Switch: Slide to turn the flashlight on/off.
- 11. Charging Contacts: For connecting to the charging base.

Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your G50:
SIM Card and Memory Card Insertion
Insert the SIM card (required) and the memory card (optional):
- With the SIM card golden contacts facing down, insert the SIM card into one of the available slots until it stops. Both SIM slots (SIM1=Micro, SIM2=Micro) support LTE (4G). A SIM card adaptor is required if using a nano SIM card.
- To expand internal storage, insert a microSD memory card (maximum capacity of 64 GB, not included) into its slot until it stops.
ATTENTION: Risk of swallowing small objects. SIM and memory cards can be removed. Keep away from small children. Do not bend or scratch SIM cards. Prevent contact with water, dirt, or electrical charges. Turn off the phone and disconnect the charger before removing the battery cover.
Insert the Battery
- Insert the battery into the battery compartment with its golden contacts pointing to the top right of the phone.
- Press lightly on the bottom end of the battery until it snaps into place.
- Replace and secure the battery cover until it clicks into place.
Charging Your Phone
- Place the easy-charging base on a flat surface for stability.
- Plug the provided USB cable into the charger and then into a wall mains socket.
- To charge, simply place the phone on the charging base.
- The G50 can also be charged by plugging the USB cable directly into the USB connector (12).
ATTENTION: Only use approved batteries, chargers, and accessories for this model. Using other accessories may be dangerous and invalidate the warranty.
Initial Setup
Please read this "Getting Started guide" carefully before using your Swissvoice G50.
A Google account is required for software updates. Sign in during phone setup or later.
- Long press the ON/OFF button (1) to power up the phone.
- The display will light up.
- Enter the SIM PIN code if prompted (optional, depends on service provider).
- Select the desired language.
- Follow the on-screen setup wizard steps.
- Once completed, swipe the touch screen and press the 'Select Home' icon to choose between 'Simple Smartphone' and 'light Android' modes.
Using G50 in Simple Smartphone Mode
This mode offers an extremely easy-to-use interface, specifically designed for senior users.
Setup Wizard
The first time you select Simple Smartphone mode, a Setup Wizard can guide you through relevant settings, including:
- a. Click Duration (adjusts click duration for keyboard and keys).
- b. Wi-Fi setup.
- c. Google Account setup.
- d. Copy Contacts.
- e. New Contacts.
- f. SOS and Support configuration.
- g. Speed Dial setup.
- h. Favorite Contacts.
- i. WhatsApp setup.
- j. Advanced Settings.
- k. Exit Setup.
The wizard is always available under Settings after exiting.
Note: Touch-screen clicks are long clicks by default in Simple Smartphone mode. A valid key press should provide vibration feedback. Click duration can be changed in the wizard or Advanced Settings.
Home Screen (Simple Smartphone Mode)
- 1. Sound Mode: Silent / Vibrate only / Normal mode.
- 2. One Touch Speed Dials: Direct dial access.
- 3. Calls Center: Access call history and make calls.
- 4. Message Center: Consolidates SMS, missed calls, WhatsApp, etc.
- 5. Pictures Center: View photos, videos, and use the camera.
- 6. Other functions: Access WhatsApp, phonebook, applications, settings, etc.
- 7. Battery level: Displays current battery charge.
Basic Operations (Simple Smartphone Mode)
- Turn Phone ON/OFF: Long press the ON/OFF button (1). To turn off, select 'Power Off' > 'Turn off'.
- Call from One-Touch Speed Dials: Press one of the speed dial buttons (2). Press [End Call Icon] to end the call.
- Make a Call: Press 'Call' > 'Dial number' > Enter the number (use 'Del' to delete) > Press [Dial Icon].
- Call from Phonebook: Press 'Call' > Select contact, or 'Call' > 'Search' > enter contact name > 'Search' > select number. Press [Dial Icon] to dial.
- Call Log: Press 'Call' > 'Call Log' or 'Phonebook' > 'Call Log' to view history. Press the number to call back.
- Receive a Call: Press [Answer Call Icon] to answer or [Decline Call Icon] to reject.
- Adjust Earpiece Loudness: During a call, use the Volume Up/Down keys.
- Ringer Mode: In idle mode, press [Sound Mode Icon] to select Sound / Silent / Vibrate.
Messages (Simple Smartphone Mode)
- All message types (SMS, WhatsApp, missed calls) are consolidated in 'Message'.
- A new message indicator [New Message Indicator] appears when new messages arrive.
- To read messages, press new items or 'Read old message'.
- Write New Message: Press 'Message' > 'Write a new message'. Input recipient number by 'Dial number' > 'Next', or select from phonebook using [Phonebook Icon]. Input message via keyboard and press 'Send' [Send Icon], or select a pre-defined message.
Pictures and Camera (Simple Smartphone Mode)
- View Pictures: Press 'Pictures' > 'View Pictures'. Use [Next Icon] or scroll to navigate. Press 'All images' to see all pictures.
- Take a Picture: Press 'Pictures' > 'Take a picture' > 'Camera'. Press 'Capture' to take a photo or 'Record' to take a video. Remember to 'Save' or 'Save and Send'.
Phone Book (Simple Smartphone Mode)
- Options: View, Edit, New Contact, Call Log.
- Add New Contact: Press 'Phone Book' > 'New Contact' (or 'Settings' > 'Contacts' > 'New'). Enter Name > 'Next', Number > 'Next', then 'Save'. You can choose to add a photo from Images or Camera.
- Edit Contact: Press 'Phone Book' > 'Edit' (or 'Settings' > 'Contact' > 'Update'). Select contact, edit details, then 'Save'.
Settings (Simple Smartphone Mode)
Access various configurations:
- Contacts: Manage contacts.
- Speed Dial: Edit the 3 One-Touch Speed Dial buttons. Select an empty button, choose a number from the contact list, and add it. You can add a speed dial photo via 'Settings' > 'Contacts' > 'Photo'.
- Language: Change the phone's language.
- Advanced Settings: Access initial settings, contacts, personal info, SOS and Support, Android settings, Medication Reminder, Display & Sound settings, etc.
- Setup Wizard: Re-run the initial setup guide.
- Premium Service: Access premium services.
Add New Contact to Favorite Contacts: Go to 'Settings' > 'Contacts' > 'Favorite'. Select an empty button, choose a number from the contact list, and add it. Favorite contacts can be accessed via the 'Call' button.
Click Duration: Adjust long press duration for menus and keyboard via 'Settings' > 'Setup Wizard' > 'Click Duration'.
Talking Dialling Digits: The G50 announces pressed numeric buttons (except in silent mode). Disable this in 'Advanced Settings' > 'Display & Sound Settings' > 'Sound Settings'.
SOS Assistance Button
- Long press the SOS button (17) for 3 seconds to dial assistance numbers. The phone enters handsfree mode automatically.
- An SMS with geolocation information is sent to the primary recipient and up to 5 other recipients.
- To stop the SOS action, long press 'CANCEL'.
Set SOS Number
- Ensure the desired phone number is in the phonebook.
- Go to 'Settings' > 'Advanced Settings' > 'SOS and Support' > 'SOS number'. Select the numbers and 'Save'.
- An SMS will be sent to the selected numbers to inform them.
ATTENTION: Remember to set the SOS number and inform recipients. Network service must be active for SOS function. Sending SMS may incur additional costs.
Torch
Slide the torch switch (10) on the left-hand side of the phone to turn the flashlight on or off.
Using G50 in Light Android Mode
This mode presents a simplified smartphone interface with large icons and easy navigation.
- 1. Google Search: Access Google search.
- 2. Messages: Access messaging applications.
- 3. Chrome: Web browser.
- 4. Apps Area: Swipe left/right for more pages of applications.
- 5. Notification Area: Drag down to see notifications and open configuration options.
Basic Operations (Light Android Mode)
- Make a Call: Tap the 'Phone' icon. Click the dial pad icon, enter the number, and click the dial key. Press and hold the '0' key to add a '+' sign for international calls. Use icons during communication for handsfree, mute, keypad, or adding calls. Press [End Call Icon] to end.
- Answer a Call: When a call is received, a pop-up window appears. Press the green 'ANSWER' button or 'DECLINE' to reject.
- Call Logs: Access recent calls via 'Phone' > 'Recents' tab, or full call log via 'Phone' > 'Call History'. Click the dial icon to call back, or click the number for more options. Long press a number to copy or delete. Clear logs via 'Call History' > menu key > 'Clear'.
- Contacts: Tap the 'Contacts' icon. Contacts are displayed alphabetically. Use the 'Search' icon to find contacts or the 'Menu' icon for options like help, create labels, and settings.
- Add New Contact: Go to 'Contacts' (or 'Phone' > 'Contacts') and press 'Create new contact'. Choose where to save (Google Account, SIM, or phone). Enter details like name, phone number, group, address, email, and optionally add a picture. Click 'Save'.
- Delete Contact: Long press a contact to select multiple for deletion. Alternatively, search, select, press the menu key [Menu Icon], and choose 'Delete'.
- Call a Contact: Enter the 'Contacts' app (or 'Phone' app > 'Contacts' tab), browse or search, click the contact, then click the phone icon.
- Import/Export Contacts: In the 'Contacts' app, press the menu icon, select 'Settings', then 'Import/Export'. Choose source and destination, then select contacts to copy.
Messages (Light Android Mode)
Exchange text and multimedia messages. Messages from the same number are grouped into conversations.
- Send an SMS: Go to 'Messages' > 'Start chat'. Enter a contact name or number, or select from the list. Compose the message and click 'Send' [Send Icon].
- Send an MMS: Start writing an SMS, click the attachment icon in the messaging interface, add attachments, and create an MMS message.
Notifications Bar
The notification bar at the top shows phone and app information. It provides shortcuts to settings. Click notification icons [Notification Icon] to toggle features on/off. Drag the bar down to view pending notifications or actions. Drag right to clear.
Connectivity
- Power on Bluetooth: Drag down the notification bar and click the [Bluetooth Icon], or go to 'Settings' > 'Connected devices' > 'Connection preferences' > 'Bluetooth' and switch it on. Click 'Pair new device' to find and connect to available devices.
- Power on Wi-Fi: Drag down the notification bar and click the [Wi-Fi Icon], or go to 'Settings' > 'Network & Internet' > 'Wi-Fi' and select 'ON'. Click on the desired Wi-Fi network to connect. Secured networks require a password.
Camera and Gallery
- Take Pictures: Optional: insert an SD card for more storage. Go to 'Camera', press the shutter button to capture. View pictures in the 'Preview box' or 'Gallery' > 'Camera' folder. Switch between picture/video modes using [Picture/Video Icon]. Use [Selfie Mode Icon] for selfie mode and [Flash Mode Icon] for flash settings.
- Gallery: Your image center. View, organize, edit, and share pictures and videos. Access via 'Google folder' > 'Gallery'. Use the bottom menu to edit or share.
Settings (Light Android Mode)
- Access phone configuration parameters.
- Change Language: 'Settings' > 'System' > 'Language and input' > 'Language'.
- Change Sound Settings: 'Settings' > 'Sound'. Configure volume, melodies for calls, notifications, multimedia, vibration, dial touch pad, and haptic feedback.

- From Android to Simple Smartphone: From Android mode, click 'Select Home app' and press 'Simple Smartphone'.
- From Simple Smartphone to Android: From the Home screen, go to 'Tools' > 'Exit System', click 'Select Home app', and press 'Android'.

Problems and Solutions

Tips on the Battery
- Only use batteries, cables, and charging units approved by the manufacturer.
- Do not short circuit the battery. Keep battery contacts clean.
- Battery service life is limited; replace when power decreases noticeably.
Network Services and Costs
The G50 is designed for mobile network use. Network services and SMS may incur costs.
Area of Use
- Do not use the phone in prohibited areas.
- Switch off the phone near medical equipment (e.g., hospitals).
- Do not use the phone in petrol stations or near fuels and chemicals.
Safety
- Prevent exposure to smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
- The phone is not waterproof; keep it dry.
- Use only original accessories and batteries. Never attempt to connect incompatible products.
- Repairs must be completed by qualified service personnel.
- Keep the phone and accessories out of reach of children.
- The SIM card can be removed; caution for small children.
- Hold the phone to your ear after answering a call to prevent hearing damage from the loudspeaker.
- Use approved handsfree equipment and holders while driving, observing national laws.
- Maintain at least 15 cm distance from heart pacemakers. Do not carry the phone in a chest pocket when switched on. Consult a doctor if you have questions.
- This phone is hearing aid compatible. Inquire about potential impairments with your doctor or hearing aid manufacturer.
- Do not rely on the mobile phone as a sole safeguard for emergencies due to potential connection issues.
- Ensure the power adapter plug is not obstructed.
Environment

Warranty
Please read the instructions manual and full user guide available at www.swissvoice.net/documentation. The G50 is approved according to European regulations (CE marking).
Legal Warranty: A legal warranty applies according to consumer goods sale regulations in your country. Contact your dealer for information.
ATLINKS Guarantee: ATLINKS guarantees the product conforms to its technical specifications for twenty-four (24) months from the purchase date (excluding consumables, accessories, and batteries). For claims, return the product to your dealer with proof of purchase, indicating place of purchase and serial number.
ATLINKS will repair or replace defective items. If repair/replacement is impossible, the product will be refunded or replaced with an equivalent. The warranty period for repaired or replaced items is ninety (90) days from repair or until the end of the initial warranty period, whichever is longer. Any immobilization of the product for at least seven (7) days extends the warranty period.
Warranty Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to:
- Installation or use not in accordance with instructions.
- Incorrect connection or abnormal use with non-compatible accessories.
- Product opened, modified, or replaced with non-approved parts; deleted or damaged serial number.
