Setting up Home Connect

Setting the Water Softening System

Procedure
- Press the [settings] button.
- To open basic settings, press and hold the [setup] button for 3 seconds. The display will show H:xx.
- Press the [start] button repeatedly until the correct water hardness value is displayed.
- To save the settings, press and hold the [setup] button for 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
Use special salt to protect your appliance from limescale. Add salt just before starting a program.
- Unscrew the lid of the special salt dispenser and remove it.
- On initial start-up, fill the dispenser completely with water.
- Add the special salt to the dispenser. The water will be displaced. Never add detergent.
- Replace the lid and turn it to close.
Adding Rinse Aid
Rinse aid ensures spot-free drying results.
- Press the catch on the lid of the rinse aid dispenser and lift it.
- Add rinse aid up to the maximum mark.
- Close the lid of the rinse aid dispenser. The lid will click into place.
Adding Detergent
Use the detergent dispenser for your chosen cleaning program.
- Add the detergent to the dry detergent dispenser.
- Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. The lid will click into place.

How to Use Your Appliance
- Load the tableware. Ensure only dishwasher-safe items are loaded and large food remnants are removed. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance.
- Select the program.
- Start the program.
- Remove tableware at the end of the program.
- To cancel the program, press and hold the [reset] button for approximately 4 seconds. The program will cancel and end within approximately 1 minute.
Cleaning Filters
Regularly check and clean the filters to ensure optimal performance.
- After each wash, check the filters for residue.
- Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system.
- Pull down the micro filter to remove.
- Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Re-assemble the filter system. Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise, ensuring the arrow markings align.
Cleaning Spray Arms
Ensure spray arms are clear of blockages for effective cleaning.
- Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull it down to remove.
- Pull up the lower spray arm to remove.
- Check the outlet nozzles on the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies.
- Insert the lower spray arm; it will click into position.
- Insert the upper spray arm and screw it firmly in place.
Clean Wastewater Pump
Periodically clean the wastewater pump to prevent blockages.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Scoop out any remaining water.
- Use a spoon to prise off the pump cover and grip it by the crosspiece.
- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
- Remove any food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area.
- Insert the pump cover and press down until it clicks into position.
- Reinstall the filter system.
Troubleshooting
E:32-00 (Water Supply Issue)
- Cause: Supply hose is kinked.
- Solution: Install the supply hose without kinks.
- Cause: Water tap is turned off or jammed/furred up.
- Solution: Turn on the water tap. Ensure the flow rate is at least 10 l/min.
- Cause: Filters in the water connection are blocked.
- Solution: Switch off the appliance, pull the mains plug, turn off the water tap, unscrew the water connection, remove and clean the filter, re-insert the filter, screw the water connection back on, check for leaks, restore power, and switch the appliance on.
E:92-40 (Filter/Pump Blockage)
- Cause: Filters are soiled or blocked.
- Solution: Clean the filters.
- Cause: Wastewater pump is blocked.
- Solution: Clean the wastewater pump.
- Cause: Wastewater pump cover is loose.
- Solution: Secure the cover so it clicks into position.
E:61-02 (Washing Performance Issue)
- Cause: Tableware is placed too close together or basket is overfilled.
- Solution: Arrange tableware with sufficient space and ensure spray jets can reach all surfaces. Avoid points of contact.
- Cause: Spray arm rotation is blocked.
- Solution: Arrange tableware so it does not obstruct spray arm rotation.
- Cause: Spray arm nozzles are blocked.
- Solution: Clean the spray arms.
- Cause: Filters are soiled or inserted incorrectly/not engaged.
- Solution: Clean and properly insert/engage the filters.
- Cause: Washing program selected is too weak.
- Solution: Select a more intensive program or adjust sensor sensitivity.
Removable streaks on glasses, glassware, or cutlery
- Cause: Amount of rinse aid dispensed is set too high.
- Solution: Set the rinse aid system to a lower setting.
- Cause: No rinse aid added.
- Solution: Add rinse aid.
Rust spots on cutlery
- Cause: Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant, or washed with rusting items.
- Solution: Use rust-resistant tableware and avoid washing rusting items together.
Detergent residue in dispenser
- Cause: Spray arms were blocked by tableware, preventing detergent rinse-out.
- Solution: Ensure spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
All LEDs light up or flash / Program does not continue
- Cause: Electronics have detected a fault.
- Solution: Press the main switch button for approximately 4 seconds to reset and restart the appliance.
