Diagram d: Depicts connecting the hand shower hose (12) to the water supply, involving parts 6 (O-ring gasket), 7 (compression nut), and 3 (elbow connector).

Installation

Step 1: Positioning and Clearance

Before beginning installation, ensure there is sufficient space and clearance to accommodate the shower panel. The recommended height under the shower head is 34"-42". If the available space is outside this range, the shower panel will not fit.

Diagram: Shows a shower head mounted on a wall with a vertical measurement range of 34"-42" indicated.

Step 2: Water Shut-off and Existing Head Removal

Turn off the main water valve or source to your existing shower. Remove the existing shower head and shower head arm.

Diagram: Shows the removal of an existing shower head and arm. A note indicates that a 1 1/2" diameter opening is needed to accommodate the shower panel's brass extender joint (Part #4).

Step 3: Connecting the Extender Joint

Connect the shower panel's 1/2" brass extender joint (Part #4) to the existing shower head pipe outlet. Use waterproof plumbing tape to secure the connection and prevent leaks. Note: There are two sizes of 1 5/8" brass extender joint (Part #4) provided. Please choose the appropriate size for this part depending on the thickness of the shower wall.

Diagram: Illustrates connecting the brass extender joint (Part #4) to the existing shower pipe outlet, showing parts 4 and 3 being used.

Step 4: Using the Installation Template Guide

An Installation Template Guide is included with your shower panel as a convenient method for determining the correct position and drilling screw anchors/screws.

Steps to Use Template:

  1. Place the template guide on the shower wall over the desired position for the shower panel.
  2. Have the tallest user at home stand next to the template guide against the shower wall.
  3. Keeping the top of the tallest user's head level within the Recommended Range Area (marked as a darkened section at 25 1/4" and 31 1/3" height on the template), find the desired height level relative to the position of the 5 holes on top of the template.
  4. Determine which of the five holes above the template is closest to the outlet of the existing shower head with the brass extender joint attached (as per Installation Step 3).
  5. Mark which hole is closest to the correct desired position and place the template against the shower wall with the shower head outlet/brass extender joint inside the hole marked.
  6. Once the template position is selected and the shower head outlet is inside the selected hole, double-check to make sure the tallest person's top-of-head level is still within the gray marked area printed on the template.

Diagram: Shows the Installation Template Guide being used. It depicts a silhouette of a person indicating body height and a recommended range area. The template is shown against the wall, aligning with the shower outlet, with pencil marks being made for drilling.

Step 5: Measuring and Cutting the Supply Line

This section helps measure the required length of the main PVC supply line (Part 8) relative to the final position of the template guide.

Steps:

Diagram: Shows how to measure distance 'd1' on the template and then cut the PVC supply line (Part 8) to the measured length plus 1 inch.

Step 6: Connecting the Supply Line

Connect the elbow connector assembly to the main PVC supply line:

Diagram: Illustrates the connection process, showing parts 8, 17, 7, 3, 6, and 10 being assembled.

Step 7: Final Template Positioning and Marking

To ensure the template (and your shower panel) will be in a completely straight and level position, use a level tool against the side of the template guide to make fine adjustments until fully level. Once fully level, this will be the final position of the template guide. Take a pencil/marker and mark the positions of the anchor screws (Part 15) for which 4 holes will need to be drilled.

Diagram: Shows the template guide being leveled against the wall, with pencil marks being made for drilling anchor screw holes.

Step 8: Drilling Holes

Use the drill with the correct indicated sized drill bit to drill each of the 4 holes as marked in Step 7. Do not drill too deep a hole – only enough depth to fully enclose the anchor screws. Note: Please double-check to ensure there are no existing water pipes or obstructions behind the area you are drilling. If there is an obstruction, you will need to reposition the template guide to avoid it.

Diagram: Shows a drill bit being used to drill holes, indicating hole diameter (6.5mm) and depth (35mm). A warning symbol ⚠️ is shown next to the drill bit, emphasizing caution.

Step 9: Inserting Anchor Screws

After holes have been drilled, insert the provided anchor screws (Part 15).

Diagram: Shows anchor screws (Part 15) being inserted into the drilled holes.
