Directions for Use (English Edition)
Press Key Description
- Startup & Shutdown: Press the key for 1 second to start up. Long press the key while the device is on to shut down. The device defaults to auto power off (10 min). To close auto power off, shortly press the key until the power indicator on the LCD disappears.
- UNIT: Changes the data display unit. Select from dBm, dB, or nW. Test data will show the corresponding result. The conversion relationship is: 10 log(nW) = 0(dBm).
- REF: Performs automatic zero clearing. Press to set the current test result as a reference value for relative power measurement. The screen will display the set dBm value.
- λ (Wavelength): Selects from 6 types of different wavelengths (850nm, 1300nm, 1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm, 1625nm). The selected wavelength is shown on the LCD screen.
- LIGHT: Turns the red light on/off. A short press starts or closes the red light. When on, the LCD displays "650" (referring to 650nm wavelength).
- GLINT: When the red light is on, a short press makes the red light flicker. Pressing again turns it off.
- Fiber-optical Work Identification Function: Pressing "REF" + "UNIT" keys simultaneously starts fiber-optical work identification, identifying fiber-optical work frequency. Pressing this combination again closes the function.
LCD Display Description
The measured power value is displayed in units of dB, dBm, mW, µW, or nW. The display also shows the selected wavelength (6 types) and the current work status.
[Image Description: A close-up of the optical multi-meter's screen shows "1310nm", "Lo", "-70.00 dBm", and buttons labeled LIGHT, REF, LED, dB, λ.]

Calibration Function Description
Pressing the "REF" + "UNIT" keys simultaneously enters user mode. The letter "CAL" will appear in the lower right corner of the screen. The following functions are valid after pressing this combination key:
Function | Key | Remark |
---|---|---|
Increasing 0.05dB | REF | 1.01158 |
Reducing 0.05dB | UNIT | 0.99855 |
Keep | Power key | Shortly press (Stored in flash) |
Switching wavelength | Enter | |
Restore factory settings | REF+UNIT | Displays "FAC", and reads the default value in array at the same time. |
Note: Pressing "REF" and "UNIT" keys simultaneously puts the all-in-one machine into calibration mode and restores factory status.
Measurement to Relative Power and Absolute Power
- Absolute Power: If the measurement wavelength is set to 1310nm, the detected light is accessed, and the screen displays the current value, including linearity and nonlinearity of the absolute light power.
- Relative Power: After setting the wavelength correctly and in absolute light power mode, access the measuring light. Press the REF key again when the current power value is displayed. The current power value becomes the reference value (in dBm). The screen will show the current absolute power value and a relative power value of 0dB. When another measuring light is accessed, it displays the absolute light power value and the relative light power value of the current measuring light.
Standard Configuration
The package includes the host machine, product warranty card, certificate, instructions, Oxford rolls, three AA batteries, and an adapter (SC and FC standard, ST optional).
Charging Function
When the electric quantity index is not displayed, or the electric quantity is insufficient for normal operation, the index will flash every 1 second, and the device will automatically power off after 10 seconds. Do not attempt to start the device at this time; it should be started after charging with the matched power adapter.

Routine Maintenance and Cleaning
- Please keep the sensor clean frequently, ensuring no fat, pollution, or dirty/non-standard adapters are used. Do not insert the end face of a poorly polished surface, as this can damage the end face and lead to testing errors.
- Use an adapter whenever possible.
- When the machine is not in use, cover the dust cap to keep the end face clean, preventing exposure to air and dust that could cause measurement errors.
- Carefully plug the optical adapter connector to avoid port scratches.
- Clean the sensor surface periodically. When cleaning, wipe gently in a circular motion with a special cleaning swab.
