Setup and Installation
General Setup Notes
ATTENTION: Ensure the loudspeaker is acclimatized for at least 2 hours if moved from a cold to a warm environment to prevent condensation damage.
- Carefully carry the loudspeaker to its installation location.
- Place the subwoofer on a stable, level surface, ensuring it is firm and free from vibrations. Do not place objects on the subwoofer.
- Position satellite loudspeakers at equal distances from the listener, ideally mounted on walls.
- Avoid placing the subwoofer in a corner, as this can lead to uncontrolled frequency increases.
- Ensure connection cables do not pose a trip hazard.
Installation as a PC Sound System
For PC use, position speakers around the listening area (e.g., near the monitor) for optimal sound.
Connecting Satellite Loudspeakers
Note: Plan cable routes before cutting loudspeaker cables. Ensure correct polarity when connecting speakers (match colors) to maintain sound quality.
- Lay loudspeaker cables from the subwoofer to each satellite speaker. Use 2 speakers for 2.1 configuration (Front Left, Front Right) and 5 speakers for 5.1 configuration (Front Left, Front Right, Center, Rear Left, Rear Right).
- Prepare speaker cables: Strip approximately 30 mm of the outer jacket and 10 mm of the inner insulation from each end. Twist the stripped wire ends to prevent stray strands.
- Connect cables: Push down the lever on the connection terminal, insert the stripped cable end, and release the lever to secure. Ensure no insulation is clamped.
Setting the Configuration
Set the SETUP switch (23) to '2.1' or '5.1' based on the number of connected satellite speakers.
- 2.1 Configuration: 2 satellite speakers (Front) + 1 subwoofer.
- 5.1 Configuration: 5 satellite speakers (Front x2, Rear x2, Center x1) + 1 subwoofer.
Connecting External Players
Connect external audio sources via cable or Bluetooth®.
Connecting a TV
- HDMI TV (28): Use an HDMI cable (HDMI 2.0). For TV sound output via HDMI, ensure the ARC function is enabled on your TV.
- OPTICAL IN (30): Connect using an optical cable (TOSLINK connector) if ARC is not supported.
- AUX IN (31): Connect using stereo mini-jack cables for analog audio input.
CEC Control: The CEC function allows control of connected devices (e.g., power on/off, volume) using a single remote.
Connecting Sat Receivers, Blu-ray Players, Game Consoles
- HDMI IN (27): Connect digital sources via HDMI. The video signal can be looped through to the TV via HDMI TV (28).
Connecting a PC
- USB (29): Connect via USB data cable (USB C). For 5.1 PC configurations, set bass management to "Full-spectrum loudspeaker" and "Large".
Connecting the Stereo System
- AUX IN (31) / 5.1 IN (32, 33): Connect using appropriate stereo mini-jack and cinch cables. Ensure correct channel layout and bass management settings on the source device.
