WARNING
- Do not modify the length of the remote control cable. Doing so may cause electric shock or fire.
- Ensure the main power is turned off before installing and connecting the remote control. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
- Have the installation performed by a dealer or authorized specialist. Improper installation may result in electric shock or fire.
- Perform installation strictly according to these instructions. Incorrect installation may result in electric shock or fire.
- Use only the supplied accessories and specified parts for installation. Failure to do so may result in the unit falling, fire, or electric shock.
- For all electrical installations, comply with local standards and regulations, as well as these installation instructions. Non-compliance may result in electric shock or fire.
- The wiring layout must be such that the control panel cover is properly secured. If the control board cover is not secured properly, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.
- If routing the remote control cable through a wall, ensure a water collector is installed above the cable. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
CAUTION
- Do not touch the aluminum fins of the air conditioner when installing the wired remote control to avoid cuts from sharp edges.
- Installation must be performed on a flat surface to prevent deformation of the remote control, which could lead to damage to the LCD housing or operational problems.
- Avoid installing the remote control cable near refrigerant or drain pipes, as this could cause electric shock or fire.
- Install the remote control cable at least 5cm away from the electrical wires of other devices to prevent malfunction (electromagnetic noise).
- Ensure you use only the provided screws to avoid damaging the remote control PCB.
After installation, perform a functional test to ensure the unit operates correctly. Explain to the user how to operate, maintain, and care for the unit according to the user's manual. Advise the customer to keep the user's manual and installation instructions for future reference.

2. Installing the Remote Control on the Wall
A. IF THE REMOTE CONTROL CABLE IS RECESSED
- Recess a junction box (JIS C 8336) into the wall. The junction box must be purchased separately. Medium square outlet box (to be purchased locally) Ref DS3744 (Panasonic Co., Ltd.) or equivalent.
- Attach the lower housing of the remote control to the junction box with the three supplied screws (3). Ensure the lower housing is flush against the wall without any curvature.
- Route the remote control cable through the box.
- Feed the remote control cable into the lower housing through the power outlet at the rear.
- Firmly insert the remote control cable connector into the connector (CN-RMT) on the printed circuit board of the upper housing. (See illustration below.)
- Attach the upper housing of the remote control to the lower housing using the latches.

B. IF THE REMOTE CONTROL CABLE IS EXPOSED
- Attach the lower housing of the remote control to the wall with the three supplied screws (4).
- Tighten the screws properly until the screw head is lower than the ribs and reaches the base of the lower housing of the remote control to prevent damage to the PCB inside the remote control (1).
- The power outlet for the remote control cable can be routed from the top.
- Use pliers to cut a notch in the upper housing.
- Feed the remote control cable into the upper housing. (See illustration to the right.)
- Firmly insert the remote control cable connector into the connector (CN-RMT) on the printed circuit board of the upper housing. (See illustration to the right.)
- Attach the upper housing of the remote control to the lower housing using the latches.
