It provides excellent power stability for FTTx networks and fiber network testing. When combine with a power meter, it offers a quick and accurate testing solution on both single mode and multimode fibers. Install SC fiber cable. 4 FOLS-201/FOLS-202 Function Introductions EN PERM Set >2s OFF ID MOD OPTICAL LIGHT SOURCE Button Description Power/Backlight Button Output Wavelength Shift Button ID Wavelength ID Button MOD Load Modulation Button 5 EN Operation Instructions 1. Power On/Off and Auto-off Function Press button to turn on the instrument. Press it again for 2 seconds or more to turn off the instrument. This light source has a power-saving function. If 10 minutes without any operation, the instrument will automatically shut down. If you need to disable this function, only need to press the button for 2 seconds when you turn on the instrument till it displays "PERM". 2. Backlight Function When the instrument is powered on, short press button , you can control the backlight function on or off. The backlight function supports you to use the light source at night or darker occasions. 3. Select Wavelength After pressing button , you can select the required output wavelengths. The power meter or other measuring instrument should select correspond wavelength of light source. 4. Modulation Output After pressing button MOD , you can load a modulation current output laser. This instrument has 3 modulations for selection: 270Hz, 1KHz, 2KHz. 5. Wavelength Identification Press button ID , the light source will output with wavelength ID and LCD will display "ID". If work with the paired power meter with WAVE ID function, the optical power meter will change to the same wavelength automatically. 6 EN Maintenance (1) The interface is sensitive, please carefully plug in and pull out the adapter. (2) Take out the batteries when not in use. (3) Keep regular cleanings on optical port of an optical light source with cotton swabs. (4) In order to avoid the electric shock, please do not disassemble the components. Disobeying the standard instruction may lead to safety issues. (5) In order to avoid the measurement errors, please cover the dust-proof cap to ensure the optical interface is clean when the unit is not in use. Ein-/Ausschalten und Auto-off-Funktion Drücken Sie die Taste , um das Gerät einzuschalten. Drücken Sie die Taste erneut für 2 Sekunden oder länger, um das Gerät auszuschalten. Diese Lichtquelle hat eine Energiesparfunktion. Wenn 10 Minuten lang keine Bedienung erfolgt, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch ab. Wenn Sie diese Funktion deaktivieren möchten, brauchen Sie beim Einschalten des Geräts nur die Taste 2 Sekunden lang zu drücken, bis "PERM" angezeigt wird. 2. Wellenlängen-Identifikation Drücken Sie die Taste ID , die Lichtquelle gibt die Wellenlängen-ID aus und die LCD-Anzeige zeigt "ID" an. Fonction Marche/Arrêt et Arrêt Automatique Appuyez sur la touche d'allumage . Appuyez à nouveau sur cette touche pendant 2 secondes ou plus pour éteindre l'instrument. L'appareil est dotée d'une fonction d'économie d'énergie. Après 10 minutes sans opération, l'instrument s'éteint automatiquement. Si vous souhaitez désactiver cette fonction, il vous suffit d'appuyer sur la touche pendant 2 secondes lorsque vous allumez l'instrument jusqu'à ce que l'affichage indique "PERM". 2. Identification de la Longueur d'Onde En appuyant sur la touche ID , la source lumineuse émet la longueur d'onde ID et l'écran LCD affiche "ID". Si vous utilisez un mesureur de puissance optique combiné avec la fonction WAVE ID, le mesureur de puissance optique passera automatiquement à la même longueur d'onde. 22 FR Maintenance (1)L'interface est sensible, veuillez brancher et débrancher l'adaptateur avec précaution. (2)Retirez les batteries lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé. (3)Nettoyez régulièrement le port optique de l'appareil avec des cotons-tiges.
