2024 NIPSCO Prescriptive Incentive Program
For NIPSCO Business Customers
Reduce Energy Waste and Earn Cash Incentives
The Prescriptive Incentive Program makes it easy for NIPSCO customers to receive an incentive when they replace costly, less efficient systems with high efficiency equipment on a one-for-one basis, reimbursing the customer up to the total cost (including materials and labor) after the measures have been installed. NIPSCO awards incentives for electric and natural gas projects.
Eligibility*
Eligible customers include those currently billed under electric rates 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525, 526, 531 Tier 1, 532, 533, 541, 543 or 544 and those who have not opted out of participation in NIPSCO's Energy Efficiency Program, and non-transport only natural gas rates 221, 225 or 251 (NIPSCO's DependaBill rate).
Prescriptive Incentive Cap
The incentive cap per project is $500,000 annually per fuel. Each customer may receive up to $1,000,000 annually per fuel. Incentives will be paid up to 100% of installed cost, including materials and labor. Funds are limited and therefore are paid on a first come, first served basis.

If the customer participates in the Midstream Channel by purchasing qualifying equipment from a participating distributor, they are not eligible to participate in the Custom, Prescriptive, SBDI, New Construction or any other NIPSCO programs for an incentive on the same piece of equipment.
