Interface DSL LAN Fact ory Reset Description Connect er f or accessing t he Int ernet t hrough VDSL2/ ADSL2/ 2+. Connect er f or local net worked devices. Rest ore t he def ault set t ings. Usage: Turn on t he modem. Press t he but t on and keep f or more t han 10 seconds. Then t he modem will rest art wit h t he f act ory def ault conf igurat ion. ON/ OFF: Power swit ch. Connect er f or a power adapt er. 2 3. Hardw are Installation This sect ion will guide you t o inst all t he modem t hrough hardware connect ion and conf igure t he modem' s set t ings t hrough web browser. 3.1 Netw ork Connection Bef ore st art ing t o conf igure t he modem, you have t o connect your devices correct ly. 1. Connect t he DSL int erf ace t o t he MODEM port of ext ernal split t er wit h a DSL line cable. (split t er) 2. Connect t he LAN port t o your comput er wit h a RJ-45 cable. 3. Connect one end of t he power adapt er t o t he Power port of t his device. Connect t he ot her end t o t he wall out let of elect ricit y. 4. Power on t he modem. 5. Check t he POWER, ACT, LAN, DSL and INTERNET LEDs t o assure net work connect ions. (For t he det ailed inf ormat ion of LED st at us, please ref er t o sect ion 2. ) 3 3 .2 Wa ll-M ount e d I nst a lla t ion Vigor130 has keyhole t ype mount ing slot s on t he underside. 1. A t emplat e is provided on t he Vigor130 packaging box t o enable you t o space t he screws correct ly on t he wall. 2. Place t he t emplat e on t he wall and drill t he holes according t o t he recommended inst ruct ion. 3. Fit screws int o t he wall using t he appropriat e t ype of wall plug. Not e The recommended drill diamet er shall be 6. 5mm (1/ 4" ). 4. When you f inished about procedure, t he rout er has been mount ed on t he wall f irmly. 4 4. Softw are Configuration To access Int ernet , please f inish basic conf igurat ion af t er complet ing t he hardware inst allat ion. The Quick Start Wizard is designed f or you t o easily set up your rout er f or Int ernet access. You can direct ly access t he Quick Start Wizard via Web Conf igurat or. Make sure your PC connect s t o t he rout er correct ly. Not e You may eit her simply set up your comput er t o get IP dynamically f rom t he rout er or set up t he IP address of t he comput er t o be t he same subnet as the default IP address of Vigor router 192. 168. 1. 1. For t he det ailed inf ormat ion, please ref er t o t he sect ion - Trouble Shoot ing in t he User' s Guide. Open a web browser on your PC and t ype http:/ / 192. 168. 1. 1. A pop-up window will open t o ask f or username and password. Please t ype " admin/ admin" as t he Username/ Password and click Login. 5 Now, t he Main Screen will pop up. Click Wizards>>Quick Start Wizard. Not e The home page will change slight ly in accordance wit h t he rout er you have. The f irst screen of Quick Start Wizard is ent ering login password. Af t er t yping t he password, please click Next. On t he next page, please select t he WAN int erf ace (at present , only WAN1 is available) t hat you use and specif y t he DSL mode. 6 On t he next page, please select t he appropriat e prot ocol according to the information from your ISP. For example, you should select PPPoE mode if t he ISP provides you PPPoE int erf ace. PPPoE / PPPoA 1. Choose WAN1 as WAN Int erf ace and click t he Next but t on; you will get t he f ollowing page. Choose PPPoE / PPPoA as t he prot ocol. Encapsulat ion f or PPPoE/ PPoA cont ains PPPoE and PPoA; encapsulat ion f or MPoA/ St at ic or Dynamic IP cont ains 1483 Bridged IP and 1483 Rout ed IP. 7 2. Af t er f inished t he above set t ings, simply click Next. 3. Please manually ent er t he Username/ Password provided by your ISP. Then click Next f or viewing summary of such connect ion. 4. Click Finish. A page of Quick Start Wizard Setup OK!!! will appear. Then, t he syst em st at us of t his prot ocol will be shown. 5. Now, you can enj oy surf ing on t he Int ernet . 8 MPoA / Static or Dynamic IP 1. Choose WAN1 as WAN Int erf ace and click t he Next but t on; you will get t he f ollowing page. Choose MPoA / Static or Dynamic IP as t he prot ocol. 2. Please t ype in t he IP address/ mask/ gat eway inf ormat ion originally provided by your ISP. Then click Next f or viewing summary of such connect ion. 3. Click Finish. A page of Quick Start Wizard Setup OK!!! will appear. Then, t he syst em st at us of t his prot ocol will be shown. 4.
