The Motorola APX N70 is a portable two-way radio. Below is a description of its key components:

1 RF Antenna: For transmitting and receiving radio signals.
2 Status LED: Indicates the radio's operational status.
3 ABC Switch: A programmable switch.
4 Touch Screen: The primary interface for interacting with the radio.
5a Display Sleep/Wake (Short Press): Wakes the display or puts it to sleep.
b Home button (Long Press): Returns to the home screen.
6 P1 to P6 Programmable buttons: Customizable buttons for quick access to functions.
7 Battery Latch: Secures the battery to the radio.
8 2-Dot (Side Bottom) Feature button: A programmable side button.
9 1-Dot (Side Middle) Feature button: Another programmable side button.
10 Push-to-Talk (PTT) button: Used to initiate a transmission.
11 Purple (Side Top) Button: A programmable side button.
12 High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mic 1: Primary microphone.
17 High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mic 2: Secondary microphone.

Getting Started

Attaching the Battery

Slide the battery into the radio frame until the side latches click into place.

Attaching the Antenna

Rotate the antenna clockwise.

Turning the Radio On or Off

Ensure that the battery is fully charged before the first use.

Turning the Radio On: Turn the On/Off/Volume Control knob clockwise until it clicks.
Turning the Radio Off: Turn the On/Off/Volume Control knob counterclockwise until it clicks.

Adjusting the Volume

To increase the volume, rotate the On/Off/Volume Control knob clockwise.
To decrease the volume, rotate the On/Off/Volume Control knob counterclockwise.

Selecting Zones and Channels

Tap Zone/Channel in the Radio Control Widget.
Tap Current Zone.
Tap the desired zone.
Tap the desired channel.

The Radio Control Widget shows the selected zone and channel.
