Product Description
The Legrand Niloé™ STEP RJ45 socket, available in single and double configurations, is designed for high-speed data transmission, supporting Gigabit Ethernet. It is compatible with flush-mounting boxes with a minimum depth of 40 mm and requires a faceplate for installation.

Connection Details
The sockets accept RJ 11 (4 contacts), RJ 12 (6 contacts), and RJ 45 (9 contacts) connectors. They feature a double color code for T568A and T568B wiring standards on the terminals. The connectors support single core/multicore conductors from 0.4 to 0.65 mm (AWG 26 to 22) with polyethylene insulation between 0.85 to 1.7 mm. The RJ45 connectors are equipped with a locking nut and do not require special tools for wiring or re-wiring.

Technical Characteristics
- Mechanical: IK 03 impact protection, IP 20 protection against solids/liquids. Rated for 5 connections/disconnections without wire replacement and 2500 operations (plugging/unplugging).
- Material: Cover and plate made of ABS. Base for single RJ45 is PC. Base for double RJ45 is PC grey RAL 7016 with 10% glass fiber. Materials are halogen-free and UV resistant. Self-extinguishing properties meet 850°C/30s (live parts) and 650°C/30s (other components) standards.
- Electrical: Breakdown voltage of 1000 VDC. Contact resistance of 20 mΩ. Insulation resistance of 500 mΩ at 100 VDC. Certified to comply with IEC 60512-99-001 and IEC 60512-99-002 for PoE support up to 90 W (Type 4).
- Climate: Storage temperature range is -10°C to +70°C. Usage temperature range is -5°C to +40°C.
Maintenance
Surface cleaning should be done with a soft cloth. Avoid using acetone, tar remover, or trichloroethylene. Approved cleaning agents include hexane, methylated spirit, soapy water, diluted ammonia, bleach diluted to 10%, and window-cleaning products. Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area before general use.
