Getting Started: Transport and Placement

Proper installation ensures optimal performance and safety for your Miele heat pump tumble dryer. Always handle the appliance with care during transport, ensuring it remains stable. For correct placement, the dryer must be perfectly level; adjust the feet as needed to compensate for uneven floors.

Ventilation Requirements

Adequate ventilation is critical for the heat pump's efficiency and longevity. Ensure the cool air intake at the front is unobstructed and maintain a ventilation gap at the bottom. Permanent room ventilation is recommended during operation to dissipate heat effectively and prevent potential damage.

Drainage Options

Condensed water can be managed in two ways: collected in the internal container or drained externally via the provided hose. For external drainage, connect to a laundry tub, floor gully, or sink drain outlet. A non-return valve is recommended for external connections to prevent backflow, especially if the hose end is immersed in water.

Door Hinging Modification

The door hinging can be changed to suit your installation space. This process involves carefully dismantling and reassembling the door lock and hinge components. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the electricity supply before beginning this procedure.

Electrical Connection

Connect the tumble dryer directly to a wall socket. It is crucial that the socket is easily accessible. For safety, avoid using extension cords or multi-socket adapters. All electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local safety regulations. Consider using a residual current device (RCD) for enhanced safety.

Important Safety Notes
