Power Detection
This product will detect whether the power source is an adapter, laptop, or mobile phone.
- If the power source is an adapter or notebook, the default brightness level will be 100.
- If the power source is a mobile phone, the default brightness level will be 15.
- When using a mobile phone to power the monitor, the default brightness level will be 15.
NOTE: Due to the limited power output of a mobile phone, do not set the brightness level higher, as the screen may flicker or turn off.
Power Supply - More Information
Consider the following due to the monitor's design:
- The first connected device will be the main input signal.
- When a Type C port recognizes an external device as a power adapter, it will only distribute power. It will NOT display an input signal.
- Only when one of the Type C ports is recognized as a power adapter can the other supply power in both directions.
If a laptop is connected first to the monitor, and a mobile phone is connected second, the mobile phone's battery will not be charged because no Type C port recognizes the connection as a power adapter.
NOTE: To display the mobile phone's screen, disconnect the Type C cable connected to the laptop.
If a mobile phone is connected first to the monitor, and a laptop is connected second, the mobile phone's battery will be charged because one of the Type C ports recognizes the connection as a power adapter.
NOTE: To display the laptop's screen, disconnect the Type C cable connected to the mobile phone.
Due to the monitor's design, do not connect two laptops or one laptop and one desktop computer simultaneously. This can cause conflicts in power distribution, leading to flickering screens or forced shutdown of the laptop(s).
NOTE:
- If the laptop has a Type C port, connect via Type C to the monitor.
- Do not connect the monitor's other Type C port to another laptop or desktop computer via Type A and HDMI simultaneously.
- If the laptop only has HDMI and Type A ports, connect via HDMI and Type A to Type C to the monitor.
- If the power output of the laptop's Type A port is not greater than 10W, use our power adapter for connecting to the monitor.
- Do not connect the monitor's other Type C port to another laptop or desktop computer simultaneously.
Using the Monitor
Powering the Device On/Off
- Connect to a power source in one of the available configurations.
- Press the Power button to turn on the monitor.
- To turn off the monitor, press the Power button again.

Limited Warranty
ViewSonic® Monitor
What this warranty covers:
ViewSonic® warrants that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. If a product exhibits defects in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic®, at its sole discretion and as its sole remedy, will repair or replace the product with a similar product. The repair or replacement device or parts or components will be covered by the remaining time on the customer's original limited warranty, and the warranty period will not be extended. ViewSonic® does not warrant third-party software, whether provided with the product or installed by the customer, for the installation of unauthorized hardware components and parts (e.g., projector lamps). (Refer to the "What the warranty excludes and does not cover" section).
