Name: Disconnect the power plug and the AC adapter Meaning: Indicates that the user must disconnect the power plug from the outlet. 3 Warning If for any reason smoke comes out of the product, or you notice any unusual odors or sounds, immediately disconnect the power plug , AC adapter and LAN cable. Continuing to use the product while it is operating unusually could result in a fire or electric shock. Check that smoke is no longer coming out of the product, and then contact the dealer where you purchased the product to request maintenance. Do not attempt to service this product yourself. If for any reason liquid is spilled into the product, immediately disconnect the power plug, AC adapter and LAN cable. Contact the dealer where you purchased the product immediately. If there is dust on the prongs of the power plug or the attachment surface, disconnect the power plug, and then remove the dust. The drop in insulation for the power plug could result in a fire. Do not place vases, flowerpots, cups, cosmetics, or other containers of chemicals or water or small metal objects on top of the product. If liquid spills or foreign matter gets inside, it may cause a fire or electric shock. 4 Caution Whenever moving the product, disconnect the power plug, AC adapter, and LAN cable. Then move after confirming that all cables are disconnected. Otherwise, the cable could be damaged and result in a fire or electric shock. For safety reasons, be sure to disconnect the power plug, AC adapter, and LAN cable when performing a maintenance work. Otherwise, it could result in an electric shock. It could result in an injury if it breaks. Do not place the power plug, AC adapter, and LAN cable next to a heater. The cable covering could melt and result in a fire or electric shock. Do not connect or disconnect the power plug, AC adapter, and LAN cable with wet hands. Otherwise, it could result in an electric shock. Make sure the plug is securely inserted into the socket. If it is not inserted correctly, it may generate excess heat or dust may come into contact, which could result in a fire. Also, touching a prong of the plug could result in an electric shock. Do not use a loose socket. Excess heat could be generated and result in a fire. Request a replacement socket from your dealer or electrical appliance store. Do not use the product outdoors. It could result in a fire or electric shock. Do not place the product in a location where it could be exposed to smoke, steam, or water droplets such as on a kitchen counter or near a humidifier. This could result in a fire or electric shock. 5 Usage Precautions Observe the contents of this guide. Failure to follow the precautions and warnings described in this guide may cause an accident. Be sure to use the AC adapter supplied with the product. The supplied AC adapter is designed for exclusive use with this product. Do not use it with other products. If you have any questions about how to use this product, contact the dealer where you purchased the product. The AC adapter appropriate for the country where it is used is supplied with the product. This product is designed to be used indoors. Do not use it outdoors. Do not push the touchscreen strongly or push it with a sharp object. The touchscreen may be damaged. Do not place this product in any humid, dusty, salt bearing wind, or vibrating locations. The operating environment conditions are as follows. Temperature: 0 to 40°C Humidity: 30 to 85% (no condensation) We do not guarantee the normal operation of the network function of this product in all network environments. It may not work properly depending on your network environment. Abnormal dots (dots that do not light up or dots that are always on) may be visible on a part of the touchscreen. They are phenomena peculiar to LCDs, not a malfunction. Remove the protective sheet from the touchscreen before starting to use it. Storage and Maintenance Turn the power off before performing a cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use any volatile solvent such as thinner or benzene. When storing this product, do not leave it under direct sunlight or by heaters. It may be discolored, deformed, or damaged. If water is spilled on the product, wipe it off with a dry cloth immediately. Pay particular attention to the salt water. Do not place the product on or near electrical appliances such as TVs and refrigerators. Be careful not to get sand or mud on it. It may cause an irreparable failure. Other Precautions If the product is used for longer than the warranty period, its performance and quality may deteriorate due to the lifetime of its parts. For parts replacement (on chargeable basis), consult the dealer from whom you purchased the product. Product Features By using a 7-inch touchscreen (EBISS-TPC07) and a compact I/F unit (EBISS-IFBOX) together, users can control or operate the connected devices with the touchscreen. 7-inch touchscreen The body of the touchscreen is as compact as 7 inches. It does not require a large space for installation. Wire-saving design Only a LAN cable is required between the touchscreen and I/F unit. The power can be supplied from HUB (PoE compatible). When used in combination with a switcher, it is possible to switch between devices. EBISS-TPC07 EBISS-TPC07 The power will be supplied from the AC adapter only. Compact I/F unit The new I/F unit is about one-fourth the size of the current product (IF-6500). It does not require a large space for installation. Monitors, electric screens, projectors and room lightings can be controlled collectively with EBISS-TPC07 and EBISS-IFBOX. A total AV control system can be realized in university classrooms and corporate conference rooms. 8 Before Use Package contents The items below are included with this product. If any item is missing, contact the dealer from whom you purchased this product. TPC07Main unit AC adapter / power plug Hex wrench Double-sided tape Rubber foot×2 Quick Start Guide (with Warranty Card) Assembly of AC adapter Press and slide the plug into the groove of the AC adapter as shown in the drawing. Slide it until it clicks. When removing the plug from the AC adapter, slide and pull the plug in the opposite direction while pressing the lock button. Caution Do not wrap the power cable tightly around the AC adapter while the power cable is connected to the AC adapter. The cable could be damaged (disconnected) or the inside of the cable could be exposed and result in an accident. 9 Part names Number Name Description The screen for operating the device is displayed. Touchscreen It is possible to control the device connected to the TPC07. It is possible to fix the main unit to a desk using the stand.P.13 Stand By removing the stand, it is possible to attach a VESA-compliant mounting bracket (commercially available) to the main unit.P.14 Number Name Description Reset switch The TPC07 will be forcibly restarted if this switch is pressed with a fine-tipped object such as a pin, Use this switch if the TPC07 freezes. LAN (PoE supported) DC IN USB port SD card slot Port for Ethernet communication.P.12 Port for power supply. Connect the supplied AC adapter. Port for connecting a USB flash driveP.11 Slot for inserting an S1D0card. P.11 Preparation and Connection Power on Connect the supplied AC adapter and the main unit. Then connect the AC adapter to the wall outlet. When the power is turned on, the application starts up after the Startup screen with [ELMO logo] is displayed. Since there is no data to display in the initial state, a message "NO DATA" is displayed. Caution: Do not turn off the TPC07 or press the Reset switch while the Startup screen with [ELMO logo] is displayed. Note To turn off the power, disconnect the AC adapter or LAN cable (when PoE power supply is used). To restart, press the Reset switch on the front of the main unit or disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter or LAN cable (when PoE power supply is used). 11 Importing edit data Insert the USB flash drive or SD card containing the edited data into the main unit. Note USB flash drive SD card Only FAT32 format (32G or less) USB flash drive can be used. SD card or SDHC card (both 32G or less) can be used. SDXC card (64GB or more) cannot be used. Note The SynCVAS Designer, a screen editing software, is used for screen editing. Refer to the SynCVAS Designer instruction manual for how to create edit data and how to download data from a computer to a USB flash drive or SD card. The SynCVAS Designer instruction manual is not included with this product. Contact the dealer where you purchased this product for the instruction manual. The following message is automatically displayed on the screen of the main unit. Select "Import File". In about 3 seconds, the screen created with the edit data is displayed. Caution Do not disconnect the USB flash drive or SD card until the created screen is displayed. 12 Connecting IFBOX and TPC07 Connect the TPC07 and the separately sold IFBOX. A: When connecting them directly Connect the AC adapter to each device and connect them with LAN cable. LAN cable TPC07 IFBOX B: When using a switching hub (non-PoE) Connect the AC adapter to each device. Then connect the IFBOX, TPC07, and a hub with LAN cable. LAN cable LAN cable C: When using a switching hub (PoE supported) When using a switching hub that supports PoE power supply, the AC adapter is not required for the TPC07. For the IFBOX, the AC adapter is required. PoE hub LAN cable LAN cable Note The default IP address is 192.168.1.99. For details of the system configuration, IP address settings, and brightness settings, contact the dealer where you purchased the product. Use a straight LAN cable for hub connections. 13 Installation The TPC07 can be installed or fixed in the following 3 ways. Choose any way according to the usage environment. A: Installation without fixing to the installation surface Attach the included rubber foot (2pcs) to the stand. B: Installation by fixing to the installation surface with double-sided tape Attach the included double-sided tape to the stand. Then, fix the main unit to the installation surface with the tape. C: Installation by fixing to the installation surface with screws Remove the screws with the included hex wrench and remove the stand. Fix the stand to the installation surface with commercially available screws. (* Fixing screws are not included. Use the scews with nominal diameter 4. Select the screws according to the material of the installation surface.) Attach the stand and the main unit with the removed screws. Dimensions of screw holes of the stand 14 Using VESA-compliant holes7575mm The stand can be removed by unscrewing the screws with the included hex wrench. Using the VESA-compliant holes of the main unit, a VESA-compliant mounting bracket (commercially available) can be attached. VESA compliant holesM4 x4 The main unit weighs about 750g. Select the mounting bracket according to the weight and installation condition of the main unit. When selecting the mounting bracket, consider the weight of the power cable and LAN cable to be connected. To attach the bracket, use a M4 screw whose length is 4 to 8 mm longer than the thickness of the bracket. 48mm Attachment part of the main unit M4 screw Bracket Caution · Select the mounting bracket, paying attention to the position and wiring of the power cable and LAN cable. · Pay close attention to the strength of the wall or installation base and the strength of the mounting bracket. 15 Using the TPC What you can do with the TPC Screen control is performed based on the information of the content created by the editing software. You can send contact output, RS-232C or infrared commands to the device via IFBOX. You can send LAN commands or PJLink-compliant commands to the device. The contents stored in the SD card can be imported in conjunction with the insertion detection. You can install the application stored in the SD card with the built-in file management software. You can set the IFBOX using the browser app. For details on screen control, refer to the SynCVAS Designer instruction manual. 16 How to update tpc application Prepare a USB memory or SD card and copy cvassetting.key to the SD card. Start TPC and insert the SD card, the following screen will appear. Tap the folder icon to start "Explorer" 17 Select SD Card from the list, select the apk to install and run. Please turn off the power after importing data after the installation is completed. 18 How to reset tpc You can reset from the TPC settings.. Select "Backup & reset". Select "Factory data reset". Push"RESET TABLET" Press the "ERASE EVERYTHING" to start. Do not disconnect the power until the startup is completed as erasing will be executed after restarting. 19 Troubleshooting Symptom, possible cause, and remedy Check the following items. If any abnormality is found, consult the dealer from whom you purchased this product or our nearest branch/office. Symptom Cannot turn on the TPC07. The TPC07 does not respond. The edit data cannot be read. Possible cause/ remedy Is the PoE power supply woking properly? Connect the AC adapter. Is the AC adapter connected properly? Are extension cords or power strips used? Do not use extension cords or power strips, but connect directly to anwall outlet. Use other wall outlet. Restart the TPC07 by pressing the Reset switch on the main unit. Check whether the network connection is normal. Check whether the connected device is turned on. Check if there are any problems with the network configuration such as IP address conflicts. Restart the TPC07 by pressing the Reset switch on the main unit. Check the specifications of your SD card or USB flash drive P.11. About long-term usage of the product Due to the lifetime of its parts, if this product is used for longer than the warranty period, its performance and quality may deteriorate. In this case, we will replace the parts for a charge.
