Altitrack Altimeter Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information to set up and use the Altitrack altimeter for your first jump. For comprehensive details on menus, functions, and features, please refer to the full manual.
Product Overview
The Altitrack altimeter is designed for skydivers to track altitude and jump data. It features both analog and digital displays and is powered by a long-lasting battery.
Warning: Use the Altitrack at your own risk.
The Altitrack uses minimal battery power and does not require manual switching off. However, it is recommended to switch it off when traveling on commercial flights, driving in mountainous areas, or when the jump season is over.
Analog and Digital Face
The Altitrack has two display types:
- Analog Face: Features a traditional dial with a pointer indicating altitude.
- Digital Face: Displays information on an LCD screen, including jump number, time, speed, altitude, and battery status.

- 3. ACCESS indication (Flashes every 15 seconds when powered on)

- 11. Reset button (located below the battery cover)
Powering On
The Altitrack is shipped in an OFF state. To power it ON, press and hold any button until the unit beeps, then release the button. The unit will perform a self-test, move the pointer to zero, and display the "Logbook screen # 1" (Main information).

ALTITRACK Settings
The Altitrack can be customized to your personal preferences. Default factory settings are provided, but key settings like the number of jumps, time, and date can be adjusted.
Factory Default Settings:
- Temperature: Celsius
- Canopy Log: Enabled
- Feet / Meter: Feet
- Mph / Kmh: Mph
- TAS / SAS: TAS
- Sound ON / OFF: ON
- Type of Dive: 0
- Date format: 2006:01:01 (Year, Month, Date)
- Time format: 00:00:00 (Hours, Minutes, Seconds)
For detailed customization, refer to the manual. For initial setup, focus on total jumps, time, and date.
Zeroing the ALTITRACK
The Altitrack automatically adjusts to local elevation. If the pointer is not at zero before a jump, manual zeroing is required.
Manual Zeroing Procedure:
- Press and quickly release the Left Front Button.
- When the green ACCESS indicator light illuminates, press and hold the Left Front Button again until the light turns off.
- When the ACCESS indicator illuminates again, release the button.
- Use the Right Front Button or Left Front Button to move the pointer to "0". The LCD will display "0" altitude.
Jump Mode
Shortly after takeoff, an "airplane icon" ✈️ will flash on the digital display, indicating the unit has entered Jump Mode. This mode remains active for 5 hours if no jump is made, after which the Altitrack recalibrates to the current local elevation.
Main Display
After landing, jump data is displayed on the LCD. You can scroll through previous jumps using the Left Front Button ◀️ and Right Front Button ▶️.
The display shows:
- Jump number
- Freefall time
- Speeds (Average, Maximum, Minimum)
- Exit altitude
- Deployment altitude
Battery Status
The battery icon indicates the charge level:
- Full capacity: Two black bars ▓▓
- Half capacity: One black bar ▓
- Low capacity: No black bars, "empty" battery icon ?. Replace the battery soon. The "Low bat" indicator flashes every 15 seconds.
- Empty battery: Battery icon flashes ?. Replace battery immediately.
Caution: Avoid night jumps at sub-zero temperatures with low battery capacity.
Customising the ALTITRACK Settings
To enter the SETUP Selector, press and hold the Left Front Button for 3 seconds.
To adjust Date: Press ⬆️ to increase, ⬇️ to decrease. Press ✔️ to save.
To adjust Time: Press ⬆️ to increase, ⬇️ to decrease. Press ✔️ to save.
To exit the SETUP Selector, press repeatedly until returning to the Main Setup Display, then press ✔️ to exit.
Note: If no button is pressed for 5 minutes in a SETUP window, the Altitrack returns to the Main window.
