Safety Considerations
- Unauthorized repair is prohibited and may cause serious incidents.
- Ensure power supply is consistent with the rated voltage and the socket is well-grounded. Unplug when not in use.
- The Fake Flame can be used both indoors and outdoors. Keep the machine dry and clean during storage.
- Do not use the machine in high temperatures.
- Install in a well-ventilated area, ensuring at least 50cm space around the machine.
- For adult use only. Keep away from children, fire, flammable, and explosive articles.
- If the machine malfunctions, stop operation, unplug it, and check the water tank, fuse, and power connection. Contact SHOWVEN or a partner if the problem persists.
- The device shall not be altered or used for purposes other than intended.
Description
The SHOWVEN Fake Flame simulates gas flames without using flammable materials. It creates a realistic artificial flame by projecting colored light onto water mist. It is designed for theme parks, theaters, TV shows, and other occasions where a flame effect is desired but real flames are not permitted.

Operation Panel
1. Control button area
The control panel features buttons for MENU, +, -, TIMER, VOLUME, and STOP.
- MENU: Switches through the setup menu.
- +: Increases parameters; multiplexes “TIMER” for fake flame output time.
- -: Decreases parameters; multiplexes “VOLUME” for fake flame output start.
- ENTER: Confirms and saves parameters. The screen blinks upon successful save; multiplexes “STOP”.
NOTE: The screen automatically switches to the main interface if no button is pressed for 15 seconds.
2. Interface
- Welcome interface: Displays the product model (X-SH1), software version, and serial number.
- Main interface: Shows DMX address, reservoir tank water level, and machine working status (including alerts or error information).

Advanced Menu
Press and hold “MENU” for 3 seconds to enter the advanced menu. Press “MENU” again to switch through the setup menu.

DMX Channel
SHOWVEN® Fake Flame occupies 4 functional channels:

Wireless Control
The Fake Flame can be controlled wirelessly using the SHOWVEN FXmote. Ensure the machine is ready, wireless status is ON, and no DMX cable is connected before use.
Operation Steps:
- Turn on the FXmote, press “MENU”, set “DEVICE” to “FOG”.
- Power on the Fake Flame, press “MENU”, set “Wireless Set” to “ON”, and press “ENTER” to save.
- Press “SET” on the FXmote to pair with the Fake Flame unit. The Fake Flame LCD display will flash once upon successful pairing.
- Press the “ON” button on the FXmote to start the Fake Flame.
- Press the “OFF” button on the FXmote to stop the Fake Flame.
Operation
1. Installation
- Check all accessories and ensure the machine is in good condition. Place the machine on a flat surface; tilting may lead to inaccurate water level readings.
- Open and securely fasten the baffle plate.
2. Power ON Fake Flame
Connect the machine to a suitable power supply. Ensure the power supply meets the requirements. Always connect to a protected and properly grounded circuit.
3. Fill the water tank
Fill the reservoir water tank with pure water until the water shortage alarm (E3, E4) on the LCD screen disappears. Alternatively, connect the machine to a water supply using a G1/6 pipe connector for automatic refilling.
4. Setting
Adjust the fake flame height, brightness, ultrasonic atomizer block, etc., according to the application scenario. If using DMX control, set the DMX address and connect the DMX cable. Multiple units can be daisy-chained via XLR IN/OUT and controlled by a DMX console (e.g., FXcommander) to create a fake flame wall.
5. Firing
- Manual Control: Press “-” (VOLUME) to start generating fake flame, press “ENTER” to stop.
- DMX Console Control: Follow the DMX channel information provided previously.
- FXmote Wireless Remote Control: Follow the wireless control information above.
6. Power OFF and Clean Up
- Turn off the machine by pressing the POWER OFF button and unplugging the power cable.
- Close the baffle plate.
- For transportation or long-term storage, drain the water from both the reservoir and atomizing water tanks.
Maintenance
- Run the machine at least once a month.
- Clean the machine regularly to prevent dust and liquid accumulation.
- When storing or not using the machine for an extended period, drain it and keep it dry.
- Check the water tank periodically. If scale forms, clean it promptly. Avoid using water that tends to form scale.
Warranty Instructions
SHOWVEN® offers a one-year product warranty. If quality issues arise within 7 days of shipment, a new unit will be exchanged. Free maintenance service is provided for hardware malfunctions within the warranty period (excluding human-induced damage). Do not attempt repairs without factory authorization.
Situations NOT covered by warranty:
- Damage from using unqualified water or other liquids.
- Damage from improper transportation, usage, management, maintenance, or human factors.
- Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair.
- Damage from external factors (lightning strikes, power surges, etc.).
- Damage from improper installation or use.
Paid service is available for damages outside the warranty range. An invoice is required for maintenance service requests from SHOWVEN®.
