1. Introduction
WiiM aims to provide the simplest, most affordable, Hi-Fi, lossless audio systems. With patented audio streaming solutions and a mobile app, users can enjoy music throughout their home. Products are developed with fine design and intuitive user interfaces.
The WiiM Voice Remote is a companion accessory for WiiM Mini and Pro streamers. It enables voice search and control via Alexa, with additional Alexa built-in device functionality. Users can play/pause, skip tracks, control volume, mute audio, and launch preset favorite songs, radio stations, or podcasts.
The remote features four customizable preset buttons for playing favorite music or for other device control actions. Pairing the WiiM voice remote with a WiiM Mini or Pro via the WiiM Home App allows for use without the app or an additional Alexa built-in device.
2. What's in the Box
The package includes the voice remote and a quick start guide. Note: "AAA" batteries are not included.

4. Controls
The WiiM Voice Remote features the following controls:
- Power Button: Puts the device into standby mode.
- Voice Button (MIC): Press and hold to use push-to-talk Alexa. Used to record voice when pressed and held.
- Play/Pause Button: Starts playing preset content (short press) or saves favorite content as a preset (long press).
- Volume Up Button: Increases volume.
- Volume Down Button: Decreases volume.
- Previous Button: Plays the previous track.
- Next Button: Plays the next track.
- Source Button: Switches input sources between network, Bluetooth, Aux-in, Line-In, or SPDIF.
- Mute Button: Mutes the current playback.
- Preset Shortcut Buttons (1-4): Customizable buttons to play preset content or perform other device control actions.

5. Pairing Your Remote
Before using the remote with WiiM streamers, it needs to be paired.
5.1 Insert Two "AAA" Batteries
- Remove the back cover of the WiiM voice remote.
- Insert two "AAA" batteries.
- Put the remote into pairing mode by pressing and holding the "Source" and "Mute" buttons simultaneously for two or more seconds.
Note: WiiM voice remote package does not include "AAA" batteries.
5.2 Pair with WiiM Device
- Open the WiiM Home App.
- Navigate to the Device tab, tap the device setting gear icon, scroll down, and select "Remote" to add a voice remote.
- If the remote is in pairing mode, a card will appear. Follow the on-app instructions to complete pairing.

5.3 Use Your Remote
- Playback Control: Use the remote for Play/Pause, Mute, Volume up/down, Next/previous track, and switching input sources.
- Presets: By default, preset buttons 1-4 correspond to presets 1-4 in the WiiM Home App. Tap a button to play the corresponding preset.
- Alexa Voice Commands: Press and hold the "MIC" button to speak Alexa commands. Release the button when finished. Commands can be similar to those used with other Alexa devices, without needing the "Alexa" trigger word. Examples include:
- "Play daily lift from Spotify"
- "Play my soundtrack from Amazon Music"
- "Volume 5"
- "My daily brief"
- "Play ESPN radio"
- "Play Pandora"
Note: To use the voice button, ensure your Amazon account is logged in for Alexa voice service on your paired WiiM device via the WiiM Home App.
6. FAQ
- Cannot find remote from the App:
- Ensure the remote is powered with two "AAA" batteries (not included).
- Restart the remote by removing and reinserting the batteries.
- Press and hold the "Source" and "Mute" buttons simultaneously for two seconds.
- In the WiiM Home App, go to Device tab > Tap device setting gear icon > Remote to add it again.
- Device doesn't take voice command:
- Verify other buttons on the remote are functioning.
- Move closer to your paired WiiM Mini or WiiM Pro device.
- Try short, simple commands to test functionality.
- Voice Assistant Support: The remote only supports Amazon Alexa voice assistant; it does not support Siri or Google voice assistant.
