Device Overview

This section describes the physical layout of the Xiaomi Pad 5.

Getting Started

Thank you for choosing the Xiaomi Pad 5.

To turn on the device, long-press the power button. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the device.

MIUI

The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes pre-installed with MIUI, Xiaomi's customized Android-based OS. MIUI offers frequent updates and user-friendly features based on feedback from over 200 million users worldwide. For more information, visit en.miui.com.

Special precautions must be taken to safely dispose of this product. The WEEE symbol indicates that this product may not be discarded with other household waste in the EU.

Important Safety Information

Read all safety information below before using your device:

• Use of unauthorized cables, power adapters, or batteries can cause fire, explosion, or other risks.

• The device's operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C. Using the device outside this range may cause damage.

• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Contact Mi customer support or an authorized repair center if any part malfunctions.
• Connect other devices according to their manuals. Do not connect incompatible devices.
• For AC/DC adapters, the socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and easily accessible.

Safety Precautions

• Observe all applicable laws and rules restricting tablet use in specific situations and environments.
• Do not use your tablet at petrol stations, in explosive atmospheres, or potentially explosive environments (e.g., fueling areas, below decks on boats, fuel/chemical transfer/storage facilities, or areas with grain, dust, or metal powders). Obey signs to turn off wireless devices. Turn off your tablet in blasting areas or areas requiring radios or electronic devices to be off.
• Do not use your tablet in hospital operating rooms, emergency rooms, or intensive care units. Always comply with hospital rules. If you have a medical device, consult your doctor and the manufacturer to determine if your tablet may interfere. Maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm between your tablet and a pacemaker. Avoid using near hearing aids, cochlear implants, or similar devices.
• Observe aircraft safety regulations and turn off your tablet on board aircraft when required.
• When driving, use your tablet in accordance with traffic laws and regulations.
• To avoid lightning strikes, do not use your tablet outdoors during thunderstorms.
• Do not use your tablet in high humidity places (e.g., bathrooms), as this may result in electric shock, injury, fire, and charger damage.

Security Statement

Please update your tablet's operating system using the built-in software update feature or visit authorized service outlets. Updating through other means may damage the device or result in data loss, security issues, and other risks.
