Getting Started: Your First Training Session
- Familiarize yourself with this user manual.
- The controller also serves as the trainer's battery and must be charged before first use. Charge the controller using the provided cable and a standard USB adapter.
- Ensure your skin is clean and free of sweat or oil before use. Attach the trainer as instructed.
- Your trainer features 15 intensity levels and runs a 25-minute program. Begin with a low level (Level 1-3). The trainer detects skin contact and always starts at the first level after being powered on.
Intended Use
This product is an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) device for gluteal muscles, designed exclusively for fitness use. It aids in muscle building, enhances physical performance, and promotes overall fitness.
What's Included:
- 1 EMS Controller
- 1 Pad
- 1 USB-C Cable
Charging the Controller
The controller has a built-in rechargeable battery. Charge it easily with the included USB-C cable (no need to open the controller!). Connect the cable to the controller's port and use a standard USB adapter. The controller charges correctly when the LED lights up. When the LED turns blue, the controller is fully charged. A full charge cycle takes approximately 3 hours.
Using the Controller
The controller can be easily detached and reattached to the trainer. Hold the trainer securely and gently remove the controller. The illustration shows the simple operation of the controller.
- '-' Button: If the training is too demanding, you can reduce the intensity at any time.
- 'M' Button: Activate the massage function for relaxation.
- 'On/Off' Button: Automatic training starts by default at intensity level 1.
- '+' Button: During a 25-minute training session, you can increase the intensity as desired.
LED Indicator Meaning
- Off: The LED is not lit. Your trainer is off and inactive.
- Blinking Blue or Green: Your trainer is on but lacks skin contact, or the controller is not properly attached. The trainer will automatically shut off after 30 seconds.
- Solid Blue: The trainer is active and running its program, or it is connected to power and fully charged.
- Green: The massage function is active. This is triggered by pressing the 'M' button after powering on.
- Red / Off: The battery is empty and needs charging, or it is currently charging.
Correct Attachment of the Trainer
Position the trainer so that it adheres centrally to your glutes. Using a mirror is recommended for assistance during the first application.
Training Process
Once activated and attached to your skin, the trainer will run the stimulation program. This program is dynamic and designed to optimally stimulate your muscles. Note: After switching on, the trainer automatically starts at the first intensity level. Press the '+' button to increase the intensity. For example, to reach Level 3, switch on the trainer and press the '+' button twice.
How Often Should You Train?
Train a muscle group 2-3 times a week. This is sufficient for sustainable muscle training. Allow your muscles 1-2 days to recover after training. General rule: Train only as much as you feel comfortable! Start with a low level (Level 1-2). Do not use the EMS belt daily or multiple times a day.
Caring for the Gel Pads
Keep the adhesive surfaces clean and avoid contact with dust, liquids, sharp objects, etc. After each training session, cover the gel pads with the provided template to protect them from dirt and dust. Note: Do not use tissues or cleaning agents to clean the gel pads.
Gel Pad Lifespan
Through training, gel pads gradually lose their adhesive strength. Their lifespan depends on factors like skin type and frequency of use. If gel pads no longer adhere well, lightly moisten the skin area with water before use. Alternatively, apply a few drops of water to your fingers and spread it over the gel pads. This helps them adhere better to your skin and transmit impulses to your muscles. Replace gel pads every 6-8 weeks.
Questions & Answers
- Which intensity should I use, and when should I increase it? Start with Level 1 or 2. EMS training is significantly more effective than traditional training.
- What can I do during training? You can move freely during EMS training and continue daily activities like working, cooking, or household chores. Alternatively, you can supplement your training with Bodify by adding extra exercises.
- When should I use the massage function? The massage function activates your muscles and can be used to massage specific muscle groups. Note: Do not use the trainer more than 2-3 times a week, including when using the massage function.
- The gel pads no longer stick. What should I do? It's normal for the adhesive strength of gel pads to decrease over time. You should then get new gel pads.
- Something seems wrong with my trainer. What should I do? Contact our customer support and do not use your trainer until then. We are happy to help and will find a quick and simple solution for you.
- Can I use my trainer on another area? No, the trainer was specifically designed for the described muscle area and should not be used differently than indicated.
- The LED no longer lights up, even after (or during) charging? Possible reasons: The battery is empty or there is a defect with the controller. Possible solution: Charge the controller and supervise the charging process for 20 minutes. Check if the controller can be switched on again. If not, contact our support.
- I feel an unpleasant sensation under the gel pads? Possible reasons: (1) The gel pads are worn out and should be replaced. (2) The skin contact between the gel pads and your skin is not optimal. Lightly moisten your skin with water beforehand. (3) Too many training sessions. Give your muscles a few days' rest. (4) If the unpleasant feeling persists, contact our customer support.
- The contractions are weak or not noticeable even at higher levels? Ensure correct application of your trainer. Possible reasons: (1) The gel pads are not properly attached, or the position of the trainer is incorrect. (2) The transparent protective film on the gel pads was not removed before training. (3) The gel pads are worn out. Replace your gel pads. (4) The skin contact is too weak. Lightly moisten your skin with water beforehand.
- Is hair a problem? The gel pads should still adhere well to your skin despite body hair. It helps to lightly moisten your skin with water beforehand.
