Installation
1. Determining the Mounting Location
Mount approximately 8 ft. (2.4 m) above ground. Higher mounting may reduce coverage if the sensor is aimed down.
Determine mounting location: wall or eave mount.
Position lamp heads (A) towards the desired coverage area.
If needed, rotate the motion sensor (C) so controls face the ground after installation.
2. Removing the 1-2-Easy Connect™
This fixture includes a pre-assembled 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D).
The large mounting bolt (EE) is pre-installed; do not remove it.
Unscrew the large mounting bolt (EE) connecting the light fixture (B) to the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D) and remove the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D).
3. Installing the Mounting Bracket
[Warning] Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse. Tape the breaker switch and verify power is off.
Six mounting bracket screws are included; only two are needed. Discard unused screws.
Remove existing light fixture.
Install mounting bracket (GG) with the word "FRONT" facing away from the junction box. Use mounting bracket screws (BB, CC, or DD) that best fit the junction box.
Firmly pull on the bracket to ensure it is securely mounted. Use screws from the old fixture if necessary.
4. Installing the 1-2-Easy Connect™
Route junction box wires through a hole in the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D).
Place the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D) against the junction box.
For wall mounting, the "UP" arrow must point upward.
For eave mounting, the "UP" arrow must point toward the building.
Insert small mounting bolt (FF) through the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D) hole below the threaded hole and into the center hole of the mounting bracket (GG). Tighten bolt (FF) securely.
Firmly pull on the 1-2-Easy Connect™ to verify secure attachment.
5. Making the Electrical Connections
Insert junction box wires into the terminal block and around the ground screw. Tighten terminal screws using the mini-screwdriver (HH) and ground screw.
Connect the white wire from the junction box to the "N (White)" terminal.
Connect the black wire from the junction box to the "L (Black)" terminal.
Connect the bare or green ground wire to the "GND" screw.
6. Mounting the Light Fixture
NOTICE: Ensure the two pins on the rear of the light fixture are inserted into the terminal block for the light to function.
Align the bottom edge of the light fixture (B) with the bottom edge of the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D). Tilt the fixture (B) towards (D), ensuring it is centered.
Tighten the large mounting bolt (EE) securely through the center of the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D). Do not overtighten.
Push the rubber plug (AA) firmly into the mounting bolt hole on the light fixture (B).
7. Caulking Around the Light Fixture
Caulk around the 1-2-Easy Connect™ (D) and mounting surface with silicone sealant (not included) to protect against weather.
Operation
1. Adjusting the Lamp Heads
[Warning] Risk of fire: Keep lamp heads at least 2 inches (51 mm) from combustible materials.
[Caution] Keep lamp heads 30° below horizontal to avoid water damage and electrical shock.
Turn on power at the circuit breaker/fuse and the wall switch.
Gently grasp lamp heads (A) and tilt them up, down, or side-to-side to adjust light coverage.
2. Rotating the Sensor Controls Downward
[Caution] To avoid water damage and electrical shock, motion sensor controls must face the ground upon installation.
Rotate the motion sensor (C) so its controls face toward the ground.
3. Setting the Sensor for Testing
When the "ON-TIME" switch is set to "TEST", the fixture operates day or night, staying on for 8 seconds after motion stops.
- Set "ON-TIME" switch to "TEST".
- Set "DUALBRITE" switch to "OFF".
- Slide "SENS" switch to "L" (low).
NOTE: The motion sensor requires 60 seconds to warm up before setup.
4. Adjusting the Motion Sensor Detection Zone
Perform a "walk test": Walk in an arc across the front of the motion sensor (C).
Observe the light; it will turn on, and the red LED will flash when motion is detected.
Stop, wait for the light to turn off, then walk again.
Repeat until the detection zone is established.
If needed, gently grasp the motion sensor (C) and move it side-to-side or up-and-down to adjust the detection zone.
5. Adjusting the SENS Switch
To increase detection zone, slide "SENS" toward "H" (high).
To decrease detection zone, slide "SENS" toward "L" (low).
NOTE: The sensor is more sensitive to motion across its front than motion directly towards it.
NOTE: Higher "SENS" settings increase the possibility of false alarms. Slide "SENS" toward "L" to reduce false alarms.
6. Adjusting the ON-TIME Switch
The "ON-TIME" switch determines how long the light stays on at full brightness after motion stops.
Set the "ON-TIME" switch to 1, 5, or 20 minutes.
7. Adjusting the DUALBRITE Switch
The "DUALBRITE" switch sets the duration the light stays on at an accent level after sundown. Setting it to "OFF" does not affect the "ON-TIME" setting.
Set "DUALBRITE" switch to OFF, 3 hours, 6 hours, or dusk-to-dawn (sunset to sunrise).
8. Using Manual Mode
Manual mode overrides the motion sensor and "ON-TIME" control, keeping the light on at full brightness. This mode works only at night and for one night at a time. The sensor resets to motion sensing mode after 6 hours or sunrise. Manual mode can be toggled using the wall switch.
To turn manual mode ON: Switch the light OFF at the wall switch for 1-3 seconds, then switch it back ON.
To turn manual mode OFF: Switch the light OFF at the wall switch for 1-3 seconds, then switch it back ON.
NOTE: If power is off for more than 5 seconds, allow the sensor to warm up before switching to manual mode.
Care and Cleaning
To maintain appearance, clean the fixture with clear water and a soft, damp cloth only.
Do not use paints, solvents, or chemicals, as they may cause premature finish deterioration (not covered by warranty).
Do not spray the fixture with a hose or power washer.
