Warnings

- Install the product correctly so that the driver cannot watch TV/video unless the vehicle is stopped and the emergency brake is applied.
- Do not watch video while driving.
- Do not operate any function that takes your attention away from safely driving your vehicle. Always stop the vehicle in a safe location before performing these functions.
- Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear outside noises while driving. Excessive volume can cause hearing damage.
- Minimize display viewing while driving.
- Do not disassemble or alter the unit.
- Use only in cars with a 12 Volt negative ground.
- Keep small objects such as screws out of the reach of children.
- Use the correct ampere rating when replacing fuses.
- Do not block vents or radiator panels.
- Use this product for mobile 12V applications only.
- Make the correct connections.
- Before wiring, disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Do not allow cables to become entangled in surrounding objects.
- Do not splice into electrical cables.
- Do not damage pipes or wiring when drilling holes.
- Do not use bolts or nuts in the brake or steering systems for ground connections.
- Do not install in locations which might hinder vehicle operation, such as the steering wheel or shift lever.

- Halt use immediately if a problem appears. Return the unit to your authorized Alpine dealer or service center.
- Have the wiring and installation done by experts.
- Use specified accessory parts and install them securely.
- Arrange the wiring so it is not crimped or pinched by sharp metal edges.
- Do not install in locations with high moisture or dust.
Getting Started
Controls Position
The screen design may differ from the actual screen.
- 1 Dimmer Sensor: Senses the brightness of the car interior.
- 2 -/+ (DOWN/UP) button: Touch to adjust the volume.
- 3 (MUTE) button: Touch to activate/deactivate mute mode.
- 4 (HOME)/(Power Off) button: Activates the HOME screen. Touch and hold for at least 2 seconds to turn the power off.
- 5 [ ] button: Depending on the connected smartphone, touch to activate Siri function or voice recognition mode.
- 6 [ ] (Phone) button: When a Hands-Free Phone is not connected, displays the Bluetooth setting screen. When connected, activates the phone number input screen (Keypad). Touch and hold for at least 2 seconds to redial the most recent incoming call. During an incoming call, the phone call starts. During a call, the call finishes.
Turning Power On or Off
- Turn the ignition key to the ACC or ON position. The system turns on.
- Touch and hold the [ ] (HOME) button for at least 2 seconds to turn the power off.
Note: When the system is used for the first time, a language selection menu is displayed. Select the desired language and touch [OK].
About the HOME Screen
Select a widget on the HOME screen to perform various settings and operations.
- Touch the [ ] (HOME) button. The HOME screen is displayed.
HOME screen example:
- Radio: Displays the Radio main screen.
- USB: Playback of music (MP3/WMA/AAC/FLAC/WAV), video (MP4/AVI/WMV/MOV), and photo (JPG/PNG/BMP) files from a USB flash drive. Widget is unavailable if no USB drive is connected.
- iPod: Displays the iPod main screen. Widget is unavailable if no iPhone is connected.
- Connectivity (Apple CarPlay / Android Auto): Enables use of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Widget changes to [Apple CarPlay] or [Android Auto] when available. Unavailable if a compatible iPhone or smartphone is not connected.
- Bluetooth Audio: Displays the Bluetooth audio main screen.
- AUX IN: Displays the Auxiliary (AUX) screen.
- Camera: Displays camera images.
- Setup: Displays the Setup screen.
Apple CarPlay Operation (Optional)
Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car, putting essential functions like navigation, calls, messages, and music on the unit's display. Simply plug in your iPhone.
- Touch the [ ] (HOME) button.
- Touch [Apple CarPlay]. The Apple CarPlay screen is displayed.
Refer to the Owner's Manual for detailed operation.
Android Auto™ (Optional)
Android Auto makes it easier to use phone apps while driving. Navigate with Google Maps, listen to playlists or podcasts, send messages via voice, and more. Download the Android Auto App from the Google Play store first.
- Touch the [ ] (HOME) button.
- Touch [Android Auto]. The Android Auto screen is displayed.
Refer to the Owner's Manual for detailed operation.
Radio Operation
The unit allows you to switch bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM), view information display, set and recall preset stations, and scan for stations.
- Tuning: Touch and hold to decrease or increase frequency continuously.
- Preset Button: Short touch to display preset stations. Touch and hold for 2 seconds to memorize the current station.
- Scan: Searches stations and plays each for about 5 seconds.

USB Flash Drive Operation (Optional)
Play music files (MP3/WMA/AAC/FLAC/WAV) and video files (MP4/AVI/WMV/MOV) stored on a USB flash drive.
USB Audio main screen controls:
- Shuffle mode: Randomizes playback order.
- Repeat mode: Repeats the current track or all tracks.
- Pause and Play: Controls playback.
- Fast-forward/Rewind: Touch and hold to fast-forward or rewind.
- Information display: Shows current song/total song number and playing time.
- Scan Playback: Plays the beginning of files for preview.
- Changes the USB mode: Switches between audio and video modes.
- Displays the search screen: Allows searching for files.

iPod mode on iPhone (Optional)
Requires a separately sold Lightning to USB cable (KCU-471i). Supports iPhone (iPhone 5s or later).
iPod playback controls:
- Artwork display: Shows album art.
- Shuffle mode: Randomizes playback order.
- Repeat mode: Repeats the current track or all tracks.
- Pause and Play: Controls playback.
- Fast-forward/Rewind: Touch and hold to fast-forward or rewind.
- Information display: Shows current song/total song number and playing time.
- Displays the search screen: Allows searching for files.
Searching for a Music File (Example: by Artist name):
- Touch [ ] (Search) during playback.
- Touch [Artists].
- Touch the desired artist's name.
- Touch the desired album's name.
- Touch the desired song's name. The selected song plays.
Note: For music playback only, set the "Apple CarPlay" setting to "Off" before connecting your iPhone. Key layouts may differ from the actual screen.
Hands-Free Phone Control
The unit can connect with up to two hands-free phones.
How to connect to a Bluetooth compatible device (Pairing)
- Touch [Setup] on the HOME screen.
- Touch [Bluetooth].
- Touch [Search] to search for a new device.
- Touch the desired device from the list to connect.
- The device registration is complete.
Note: Bluetooth registration may vary by device version and pairing method. A passcode may be displayed and require entry on the Bluetooth device.
Answering a Call
- An incoming call triggers a ringtone and an incoming call display.
- Touch [Answer]. The call starts.
Hanging up the Telephone
- Touch [ ] (End Call). The call finishes.
You can register up to 4 Bluetooth compatible mobile phones.
Installation
Note on installation
- Install at an angle between horizontal and 30°. Angles outside this range may reduce performance or cause damage.
- Do not block the unit's heat sink, as this can cause overheating and fire.
Installing the Unit
- Mount the original mounting bracket to the unit using the supplied screws.
- Connect all other leads according to the "Connections" section.
- Mount the unit in a car. Secure the ground lead to a clean, bare metal part of the vehicle's chassis.
Fix cables carefully to avoid damage from moving parts or sharp edges.
Mounting the Microphone
- Ensure the location is stable and firm.
- The microphone should not obstruct the driver's view or operations.
- Position the microphone where the driver's voice can be easily picked up (e.g., on the sun visor), without requiring the driver to change their posture.
Connection Diagram of SPST Switch (sold separately)
This diagram illustrates wiring if the ACC power supply is not available, requiring an SPST switch and fuse.
Note: Connecting the switched power lead directly to the battery may cause battery discharge when the unit is off.
Connections
This section details the various connections for the unit:
- Antenna: Vehicle Antenna Receptacle.
- Microphone: Included microphone connects to MIC Input Connector.
- iPhone: Connects via Lightning to USB Cable (KCU-471i, sold separately) to the USB Connector.
- USB Flash Drive: Connects to the USB Connector.
- Remote Turn-On Lead (Blue/White): Connects to amplifier/signal processor remote turn-on.
- Reverse Lead (Orange/White): Connects to the reverse lamp signal lead.
- Power Antenna Lead (Blue): Connects to the power antenna +B terminal.
- Parking Brake Lead (Yellow/Blue): Connects to the parking brake switch for status signals.
- Switched Power Lead (Ignition) (Red): Connects to a switched 12V source (e.g., fuse box).
- Fuse Holder (15A): For protection.
- Battery Lead (Yellow): Connects to the positive (+) post of the vehicle's battery.
- Ground Lead (Black): Connects to a good chassis ground.
- Speaker Outputs: Leads for Left/Right Front and Rear speakers (Green, Green/Black, White, White/Black, Gray/Black, Gray, Violet/Black, Violet).
- Camera Inputs: RCA connectors for Rear View Camera and Front View Camera.
- Audio/Video Outputs: SUBW (Subwoofer), FRONT OUT, REAR OUT RCA connectors.
- AUX Inputs: AUX VIDEO IN and AUX AUDIO IN RCA connectors.
- Steering Remote Control Interface Connector: For steering wheel remote control integration.
