DocumentDocumentDI Dryer 2.0 Installation and Operation Manual Thank you for purchasing the Ozotech DI Dryer 2.0. The Desiccant Indicating (DI) Dryer is designed to provide the necessary dry air required for ideal ozone production of an Ozotech ozone generator. The DI Dryer can be used either in a negative (pulling air) or positive (pushing air) pressure application. As the moisture indicating media absorbs moisture it will change color from BLUE to PINK when saturated. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Open box and cross reference that you have received the correct equipment. Parts list below. 2. Install the mounting bracket to the dryer cap using the four flathead screws provided. 3. Mount the DI Dryer 2.0 within 4ft. (1.21 m) of the ozone generator, in a dry environment. a. Mount vertically using appropriate anchors and fasteners. b. Three mounting screws are provided. 4. Remove the caps from the inlet and outlet barbed fittings. 5. Setup and tubing use cases (Diagrams below for visual reference) a. If using the DI Dryer 2.0 in a negative pressure environment (i.e., when using a protein skimmer), connect an appropriate length of provided clear tubing from the `outlet' fitting of the DI Dryer 2.0 to the inlet of a top-mount valve flow meter. Then connect the outlet of the flowmeter to the inlet of your ozone generator. b. If using the DI Dryer 2.0 in a positive pressure environment (i.e., when using an ozone reactor), connect from your air pump/compressor `outlet' to the `inlet' fitting of the DI Dryer 2.0. Using the provided tubing, connect the outlet of the DI Dryer 2.0 to the inlet of a bottom-mount valve flow meter. Lastly, connect the outlet of the flow meter to the inlet of your ozone generator. 6. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper ozone generator installation. If using an Ozotech ozone generator with a venturi injector, be sure to carefully follow the venturi injector install/calibration guidelines. SERVICING THE DESICCANT MEDIA The desiccant media within the media cartridge may be regenerated when it turns pink. Use the following part number and model description when ordering replacement cartridges from Ozotech, Inc. or an authorized equipment dealer: 32099 - DI Dryer 2.0 Replacement Cartridge Use the instructions and figures below for media cartridge replacement: 1. Unscrew the DI Dryer 2.0 cartridge housing from the dryer cap and remove the media cartridge. 2. Install the new media cartridge into the cartridge housing. 3. Screw the cartridge housing onto the dryer cap and return the DI Dryer 2.0 to service.
