Connect and Power On

1. Connect your phone's Type-C port to the controller's Type-C port.
2. Pull the controller's left side and install your phone.
3. The connection is finished when the controller firmly snaps both sides of your phone.

Note: The connection status indicator will be solid white to indicate a successful connection. Some Android phones may need OTG enabled to power on and use the controller.

Standby and Wake Up

1. When the controller is turned on with 10 minutes of inactivity, it will enter standby mode.
2. When the controller is turned on, hold the Home button for 5 seconds to enter standby mode.
3. When the controller is in standby mode, press A/B/X/Y/Home button to wake up the controller.

Back Buttons Settings

Back buttons (L4/R4) can be mapped to A/B/X/Y/LB/RB/LT/RT/LS/RS/View Button/Menu Button/Capture Button/D-Pad.

1. Set L4/R4 button value: Hold the M + L4/R4 buttons simultaneously until the Mode/Connection Status Indicator blinks white slowly. Then press the button you want to map to L4/R4. The indicator will return to the initial state when the value is set.
2. Cancel L4/R4 button value: Hold the M + L4/R4 buttons simultaneously until the Mode/Connection Status Indicator blinks white slowly. Then press the L4/R4 button. The indicator will return to the initial state when the value is canceled.

Note: After 10 seconds of inactivity during setting, the controller will automatically exit setting mode, and the button value will remain unchanged.

Button Combinations

Sticks & Triggers Calibration

1. Connect your phone to the controller. Hold View + Menu + Home buttons for 5 seconds until the Connection Status indicator and Mode indicator blink rapidly, indicating calibration mode entry.
2. Calibration steps:
   1. Ensure triggers and sticks are in their natural position without contact, then press the A button.
   2. Rotate the sticks at their maximum angles 3 times, allowing them to return to their initial position naturally.
   3. Press the triggers to their maximum travel 3 times, allowing them to return to their initial position naturally.
3. Press the A button to complete and exit calibration mode.

Note: Calibration should be performed at a constant speed and gently to avoid data collection errors. If sticks and triggers function normally, calibration is not necessary.

Interchange Parts

The faceplates of the GameSir G8 are magnetic and swappable. Thumbsticks can be interchanged according to user preference.

Download the GameSir App from gamesir.hk on your phone or scan the QR code. Use the GameSir App for firmware upgrades, button testing, sticks & triggers zone adjustments, and more.
