Handling Precautions
CAUTION! Keep the SolarEdge Home Battery in its original shipping package until the Home Battery is installed. The package should be kept flat on its back, front facing up.
CAUTION! Individual SolarEdge Home Battery boxes should not be removed from their pallets until loading for final delivery.
CAUTION! Each SolarEdge Home Battery is to be handled in its shipping box. Keep each unit in its box until it reaches its final destination for installation.
CAUTION! Ensure the packaging is not punctured. Protect packaging from the weather and extreme temperatures.
CAUTION! The SolarEdge Home Battery is heavy, weighing approximately 160 Kg. When handling the unit, wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves and protective footwear.
CAUTION! Use a forklift only to stack or unstack the products on/from a pallet. Only use the designated forklift ready position to lift or lower the product.
Follow these rules when handling pallets of SolarEdge Home Battery boxes in the warehouse:
- Do not stack or transport other items on top of SolarEdge Home Battery boxes.
- A maximum of four (4) SolarEdge Home Batteries in their original boxes can be arranged and packaged as a single stack. The stack is placed on and strapped to a regular shipping pallet.
- Each box sits on its own pallet that has a raised edge. This helps to prevent the box from slipping sideways within the stack.
- Place each box in the stack so that it faces the opposite direction to the previous box. This balances the weight distribution within the stack.

Storage
References to storage in this section refer to on-the-shelf conditions of a SolarEdge Home Battery packed in its original box. The maximum acceptable storage duration is 12 months.
Storage Duration | Allowable Temperature Range |
---|---|
Up to 3 months | -30 °C to 60 °C (-22 °F to 140 °F) |
Between 3 and 12 months | -10 °C to 30 °C (−14 °F to 86 °F) |
If the products are stored for more than 12 months in their original package, DO NOT ship them before contacting the SolarEdge support team for technical guidelines.
A SolarEdge Home Battery should not be stored unattended for longer than twelve months, as the battery service life will probably be unfavorably affected.
Transportation and Shipping
General Transport Guidelines
The SolarEdge Home Battery is considered to be a Class 9 dangerous good when being transported by commercial means, either by way of road, rail, or sea (ship).
