Maker Heart LED Locket
This educational kit teaches simple circuits through the wiring of your LED and battery. Most of the parts can be re-purposed for other projects too, the battery holder & LED are awesome for cosplay or creating other glowing wearables, and you can hold small stuff in the locket!
· 1x Glow-in-the-Dark 3D Printed Heart Locket · 1x SMT RGB LED · 1x 3v Coincell Battery & Holder · 1x Conductive e-Tape Strip · 1x Lanyard · No tools required, only scissors · SMT = Surface Mount Technology (they are really small) · RGB = Red / Green / Blue (cycles through colors)
Line up your parts as shown and cut your e-tape strips, then peel the backing and apply to pegs, making sure they do not touch each other
Insert 3v battery into the holder, then gently press/ rock the battery holder onto the pegs over the etape, ensuring a good connection
Line up your LED chip as shown to complete your circuit {white ring = negative / red ring = positive}
Press down your e-tape and ensure the two circuit lines do not touch.
PRO TIP: You can use a dab of hot glue or super glue to hold your parts to the locket, just don't glue over the circuit pegs!
Please Note: Small parts and cord choking hazards. We recommend ages 8+ for the electronics, your child's skill levels may vary, we encourage parental supervision and participation!
