Product Overview

The MLV41-LL-IR-2492 is a robust fiber optic sensor designed for reliable operation under various conditions. It features adjustable continuous sensitivity, easy fiber optic installation with a quick-action clamping lock, and an aluminum housing with high-quality Delta Seal coating.

This sensor is suitable for glass fiber optics, operates with infrared light, provides PNP outputs, and features an M12 plug connection.

Function

The MLV41 series offers a unique and popular design that allows for correct mounting in confined areas, incorporating functions typically found in larger photoelectric sensors. Key features include highly visible status LEDs on both the front and back, resistance to ambient light, crosstalk protection, and universally applicable output stages that support all switching logic and polarity configurations. Its enhanced resistance to ambient light ensures reliable operation, even with modern energy-saving lamps using electronic ballasts, and in environments where multiple sensors are used in close proximity.

Connection

The sensor features an M12, 4-pin connector. The pinout is as follows:

The output (Q) can be configured for 'Light on' or 'Dark on' operation via a switch.

Wire colors in accordance with EN 60947-5-2 are: Pin 1 - BN (brown), Pin 2 - WH (white), Pin 3 - BU (blue), Pin 4 - BK (black).
