KitchenAid Pasta Maker 3-in-1 Set User Manual
This manual provides instructions for using the KitchenAid Pasta Maker 3-in-1 Set with your KitchenAid Stand Mixer.
Product Overview
The KitchenAid Pasta Maker 3-in-1 Set is designed to transform your KitchenAid Stand Mixer into a versatile pasta maker. This set includes three essential attachments:
- Pasta Roller: For creating flat pasta sheets with 8 adjustable thickness settings.
- Spaghetti Cutter: For cutting pasta sheets into classic spaghetti strands.
- Fettuccine Cutter: For cutting pasta sheets into wider fettuccine strands.
These attachments are compatible with all KitchenAid Stand Mixers.
Getting Started
Before first use, clean all attachments according to the cleaning instructions.
- Attach the power hub of your KitchenAid Stand Mixer.
- Securely attach the Pasta Roller to the power hub.
- Turn the mixer on to a low speed (speed 2-4).
- Feed your prepared pasta dough through the roller, adjusting the thickness setting as desired.
- Once you have your desired pasta sheets, switch to the appropriate cutter attachment (Spaghetti or Fettuccine).
- Feed the pasta sheets through the chosen cutter.
- Collect the cut pasta.
Adjustable Thickness Settings
The Pasta Roller features 8 settings for varying pasta thickness:
- Setting 1: Thickest
- Setting 8: Thinnest
It is recommended to start with a thicker setting (e.g., 1 or 2) and gradually move to thinner settings for best results, especially when making sheets for cutting.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity of your pasta maker attachments.
- Never immerse the attachments in water or place them in a dishwasher. Water can cause rust and damage the internal components.
- Use the included cleaning brush or a dry cloth to remove any dried dough or flour from the rollers and cutters.
- For stubborn dried dough, use a damp cloth to wipe the surfaces, then immediately dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.
- Store the attachments in a clean, dry place.
Troubleshooting
- Pasta is too thick/thin: Adjust the thickness setting on the roller. Ensure dough is not too wet or too dry.
- Cutter is not cutting cleanly: Ensure the pasta sheet is firm enough and not too sticky. Clean the cutter attachment thoroughly.
- Attachments not fitting securely: Ensure the mixer is turned off and the attachment is correctly aligned with the power hub.
Safety Precautions
- Always ensure the stand mixer is turned off and unplugged before attaching or detaching accessories.
- Keep fingers and utensils away from moving parts during operation.
- This product is intended for use with KitchenAid Stand Mixers only.
