Braun Series 3 Electric Shaver
This manual provides instructions for the Braun Series 3 shavers, including models 301s, 300s, and 310s.
Important Safety Information
Read all instructions before use. Keep this manual for future reference.
Warning:
- This appliance is suitable for cleaning under running tap water. Always detach the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it with water.
- Model 310s w&d is suitable for cleaning under running tap water and for use in a bathtub or shower. For safety reasons, it can only be operated cordless. When using in the shower, use shaving foam or gel.
- The appliance uses a special cord set with integrated Safety Extra Low Voltage power supply. Do not exchange or tamper with any part of it to avoid electric shock. Only use the provided special cord set.
- If the appliance is marked with a symbol indicating compatibility with power supply code 492-XXXX, any Braun power supply with this code can be used.
- Do not use the shaver with a damaged foil or cord.
- Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, may use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- For hygienic reasons, do not share the appliance with other persons.
Product Description
The Braun Series 3 shaver consists of:
- Foil & Cutter cassette
- On/off button
- Charge indicator
- Shaver power socket
- Special cord set (design may differ)
- Protection cap
For electric specifications, refer to the printing on the special cord set.
Charging the Shaver
Recommended ambient temperature for charging is 5°C to 35°C. Extreme temperatures may prevent proper charging.
Recommended ambient temperature for shaving is 15°C to 35°C. Avoid exposing the shaver to temperatures above 50°C for extended periods.
- Connect the shaver to an electrical outlet using the special cord set (5) with the motor switched off.
- For the first charge or after several months of non-use, charge the shaver continuously for 4 hours.
- After a full charge, discharge the battery through normal use before recharging. Subsequent charges take approximately 1 hour.
- A full charge provides up to 20 minutes of cordless shaving. Maximum battery capacity is reached after several charge/discharge cycles.
- A 5-minute quick charge is sufficient for one shave.
- Models 301s/300s only: You can also shave while connected to an electrical outlet via the special cord set.
Charge Indicator (3) Status:
- Charging: slow flashing
- Low battery: fast flashing
- Fully charged / during operation: continuously lit
Shaving
Press the on/off button (2) to operate the shaver. The flexible shaving foils automatically adjust to facial contours.
Tips for a perfect dry shave:
- Shave before washing your face.
- Hold the shaver at a right angle (90°) to your skin at all times.
- Stretch your skin and shave against the direction of your beard growth.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures better shaving performance.
Cleaning under running water:
- Switch the shaver on (cordless) and rinse the shaver head under hot running water until all residues are removed. Liquid soap without abrasive substances can be used. Rinse off all foam and let the shaver run for a few more seconds.
- Switch off the shaver, remove the Foil & Cutter cassette (1), and let it dry.
- If cleaning under water regularly, apply a drop of light machine oil (not included) to the Foil & Cutter cassette (1) once a week.
Cleaning with a brush:
- Switch off the shaver. Remove the Foil & Cutter cassette and tap it out on a flat surface.
- Use a small brush with soft bristles (not included) to clean the inner area of the shaver head. Do not clean the Foil & Cutter cassette with a brush, as it may be damaged.
Keeping your shaver in top shape
Shaving parts replacement:
To maintain 100% shaving performance, replace the Foil & Cutter cassette (1) after approximately 18 months or when worn.

Preserving the batteries
To maintain optimum battery capacity, fully discharge the shaver by shaving every 6 months approximately. Then recharge to full capacity.

This product contains batteries and/or recyclable electric waste. For environmental protection, do not dispose of this device in household waste. Take it to designated electric waste collection points in your country for recycling.

Braun provides a 2-year guarantee from the date of purchase, in addition to the buyer's statutory warranty rights against the seller. Within this period, Braun will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defects resulting from material or manufacturing faults free of charge.
This guarantee is valid in all countries where this Braun device is supplied by Braun or its authorized distributor.
The guarantee does not cover:
- Damage due to improper use.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., shaver foil or cutter block).
- Defects that have a negligible effect on the value or operation of the appliance.
- Repairs undertaken by unauthorized persons.
- Use of non-original Braun spare parts.
