What Distinguishes the New Synchronization Option from the Previous Version?
The synchronization option for the Electrak® HD electric linear actuator has recently been updated. Learn what's new and what remains unchanged.
The image depicts a Thomson Electrak HD linear actuator, a component used in various electromechanical systems. It is shown with its associated control electronics.
Key Features and Differences:
- True Synchronization: Position-based, not speed-based.
- No Cable Replacement: No need to replace cables or connectors.
- Identical Dimensions: The actuator's external dimensions are the same.
- Communication/Power Failure: If one networked unit experiences a communication or power failure, all other units are blocked.
- Reset Function: The red wire resets the required number of networked actuators.
- Capacity: Up to eight (8) actuators can be synchronized.
- Feedback: Feedback is possible via CAN-bus.
- Re-alignment: Units no longer require re-alignment after multiple partial movements.
- Performance: Units now achieve speeds close to their full load rating.
- Adjustments: Easy adjustments for acceleration/deceleration.
- Automatic Alignment: Non-synchronized units automatically align during operation.
Version Identification:
The order code (refer to the nameplate or shipping documents) determines the synchronization version:
- HD24B017-0150SYNMMSD = HD-Actuator with SYN1.0
- HD24B017-0150SY21MMSD = HD-Actuator with SYN2.0
The diagram illustrates a system with multiple synchronized linear actuators. It shows eight identical actuators arranged in a line, with arrows indicating synchronized movement. A control unit is depicted on the left, with connections to the actuators.
