1. Connect the midspan to the network switch in one of the alternative ways:

NOTICE Use a shielded network cable (STP) CAT5 or higher.
EN
- A: via an Ethernet RJ45 cable that is connected to the midspan's RJ45 port (DATA IN).
- B: via an optical fibre cable attached to an SFP module that is connected to the midspan's SFP slot (DATA IN).
2. Connect the midspan (DATA PWR OUT) to the camera's RJ45 port using an Ethernet RJ45 cable.
3. Connect the midspan to a grounded (earthed) mains power outlet (100240 VAC) using the supplied power cable.
4. Verify that the midspan LEDs indicate the correct statuses. See LED indicators on page 15.

Troubleshooting

Symptom The midspan does not power up
The remote device connected to the midspan does not power up

Corrective action

Unplug and then re-plug the midspan's power cable and check the power LED indicator status during the power-up sequence.

Verify that the power inlet voltage is between 100240 V AC.

Verify that the power inlet cable is intact/functional.

Verify that the remote device is designed for PoE operation.

Verify that the remote device is connected to the midspan's DATA PWR OUT port using a standard STP CAT5 or higher, straight-wired network cable with four pairs.

If an external power splitter is in use, verify that it works.

Verify that there is no short circuit on any of the twisted pair cables or RJ45 connectors.

If possible, connect the remote device to a different midspan.

Symptom The remote device connected to the midspan powers up but there is no data link

Corrective action If using an Ethernet RJ45 cable, verify that it is a standard STP CAT5 or higher, straight-wired network cable with four pairs. If using an Ethernet RJ45 cable, verify that its length between the network switch and the remote device is less than 100 m (330 ft) . If using an optical fibre cable, verify that the cable and the SFP module are of the correct type, and that the cable is intact/functional. If possible connect the remote device to a different midspan.

1. Branchez l'injecteur au commutateur réseau de l'une des façons suivantes :

2. Connectez l'injecteur (DATA PWR OUT) au port RJ45 de la caméra à l'aide d'un câble Ethernet RJ45.

3. Connectez l'injecteur à une sortie du secteur mise à la terre (100240 V CA) à l'aide du câble d'alimentation fourni.

4. Vérifiez que les voyants DEL de l'injecteur indiquent les états de fonctionnement corrects. Cf. Voyants DEL page 27.

L'injecteur ne se met pas sous tension.

Débranchez, puis rebranchez le câble
d'alimentation de l'injecteur et vérifiez l'état du FR
voyant LED pendant la mise sous tension.

Vérifiez que la tension à l'arrivée se situe entre 100 et 240 V CA.

Vérifiez que le câble d'alimentation est intact / fonctionne.

Le périphérique distant raccordé à l'injecteur ne se met pas sous tension

Vérifiez que le périphérique distant a bien été conçu pour un fonctionnement PoE. Vérifiez que le périphérique distant est raccordé au port DATA PWR OUT de l'injecteur à l'aide d'un câble réseau droit standard STP CAT5 ou supérieur à quatre paires de fils.

Si un diviseur d'alimentation externe est utilisé, vérifiez qu'il fonctionne.

Vérifiez qu'il n'y a pas de court-circuit sur les câbles à paires torsadées ni sur les connecteurs RJ45.

Si possible, branchez le périphérique distant à un injecteur différent.

Fehlerbehebung

Symptom

Maßnahme

Der Midspan fährt nicht hoch.

Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel vom Midspan ab, stecken Sie es erneut ein und prüfen Sie dann beim Hochfahren die LED-Statusanzeige.

Prüfen Sie, ob die Spannung am Netzeingang zwischen 100 und 240 V Wechselstrom liegt.

Überprüfen Sie, ob das Netzkabel intakt und funktionsfähig ist.

Das an den Midspan angeschlossene Remote-Gerät lässt sich nicht einschalten.

Überprüfen Sie, ob das Remote-Gerät für den PoE-Betrieb geeignet ist. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Remote-Gerät an den DATA PWR OUT-Port des Midspans angeschlossen ist und dass hierfür ein geschirmtes (STP) 1:1-verdrahtetes Standard-Netzwerkkabel der Kategorie 5 oder höher mit 4 Paaren verwendet wird.

Wenn Sie einen externen Power-Splitter verwenden, stellen Sie sicher, dass dieser funktioniert.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein Kurzschluss zwischen den Twisted-Pair-Kabeln oder zwischen den RJ-45-Steckern besteht.

Wenn möglich, sollten Sie dasselbe Remote-Gerät an einen anderen Midspan anschließen.

Azione correttiva Staccare e riattaccare il cavo di alimentazione del midspan e controllare lo stato dell'indicatore del power LED durante la sequenza di accensione. Verificare che la tensione di alimentazione in ingresso sia compresa tra 100 e 240 V CA.
Verificare che il cavo della presa di alimentazione IT
in ingresso sia integro/funzionale. Verificare che il dispositivo remoto possa essere usato con la tecnologia PoE. Verificare che il dispositivo remoto sia collegato alla porta DATA PWR OUT del midspan tramite un cavo di rete cablato diretto STP CAT5 standard, o superiore, con quattro doppini. Se si utilizza uno splitter di alimentazione esterno, verificare che funzioni correttamente. Verificare che non vi siano cortocircuiti sui cavi a doppini o sui connettori RJ45. Se possibile, collegare il dispositivo remoto a un midspan diverso.

Se si utilizza un cavo Ethernet RJ45, verificare che si tratti di un cavo di rete cablato diretto STP CAT5 standard, o superiore, con quattro doppini. Se si utilizza un cavo Ethernet RJ45, verificare che la relativa lunghezza tra lo switch di rete e il dispositivo remoto sia inferiore a 100 m.

Se si utilizza un cavo di fibra ottica, verificare che tale cavo e il modulo SFP siano del tipo conforme e che il cavo sia integro/funzionale.

Se possibile, collegare il dispositivo remoto a un midspan diverso.

1. Conecte el midspan al switch de red de una de las siguientes formas:

2. Conecte el midspan (DATA PWR OUT) al puerto RJ45 de la cámara utilizando un cable Ethernet RJ45.

3. Conecte el midspan a un enchufe de corriente con toma de tierra (100240 V CA) con el cable de corriente proporcionado.

4. Compruebe que los LED del midspan indiquen los estados adecuados. Vea Indicadores LED en la página 63.

Solución de problemas

Síntoma El midspan no se enciende.
El dispositivo remoto conectado al midspan no se enciende.

Acción correctiva

Desenchufe el cable de alimentación del midspan y vuelva a enchufarlo; compruebe el estado del indicador LED de alimentación durante la secuencia de encendido.

Compruebe que la tensión de la toma de corriente se encuentra entre 100240 V CA.

Compruebe que el cable de la toma de corriente está intacto y funciona correctamente.

Compruebe que el dispositivo remoto esté

diseñado para ser alimentado por PoE.

Compruebe que el dispositivo remoto esté conectado al puerto DATA PWR OUT del midspan utilizando un cable de red estándar sin cruces STP CAT5 o superior, con cuatro pares.

Si hay una unidad de distribución de alimentación externa conectada, compruebe que funciona correctamente.

Compruebe que no haya cortocircuitos en ninguno de los cables de par trenzado o en los conectores RJ45.

Si es posible, conecte el dispositivo remoto a un midspan diferente.

Si está utilizando un cable Ethernet RJ45, compruebe que se trata de un cable de red estándar sin cruces STP CAT5 o superior, con cuatro pares. Si está utilizando un cable Ethernet RJ45, compruebe que la longitud entre el switch de red y el dispositivo remoto sea inferior a 100 m.

Si está utilizando un cable de fibra óptica, compruebe que el cable y el módulo SFP sean del tipo adecuado y que el cable esté intacto y funciones correctamente.

Si es posible, conecte el dispositivo remoto a un midspan diferente.
