Operating Your Steam Iron
Intended Use
This appliance is intended for household ironing only.
Initial Use
Remove the protective film from the LED screen. Before first use, fill the water reservoir and vaporize water by frequently using the shock steam button to remove manufacturing residues. A mild odour or white sediment may appear initially but will disappear after two vaporizing cycles. Water droplets in the reservoir are normal.
Refilling the Water Reservoir
Use tap water. If your tap water is very hard, use a mixture of tap and distilled water. Do not add perfume, vinegar, starch, or other chemicals. The iron may become louder if the water level is low; refill to the MAX line.
Temperature Setting and Dry Ironing
Consider fabric care labels. The iron starts in "SMART" mode, suitable for most fabrics. For unknown fabrics, test on an inconspicuous area first. For synthetic fabrics like silk, iron on the reverse side and avoid the water spray feature to prevent stains.
Temperature Guide:
Fabric Type | Temperature Setting | Steam Setting |
---|---|---|
Silk | ECO-SMART | With/Without Steam |
Wool | SMART | With/Without Steam |
Cotton, Linen, Jean | SMART-MAX | With/Without Steam |
Steam Ironing
The iron produces steam only when moved (equipped with a movement sensor). Ensure sufficient water. Noise may increase if water level is low.
Turbo-Steam
Use the turbo steam function when the temperature is set to "MAX" for higher steam output on thick fabrics.
Shock Steam
Available in all modes. Wait a few seconds between presses to avoid water leakage. The thermostat indicator light (5) must be off before using shock steam. Never direct steam at people or pets.
Spraying Water
Use the water spray button (4) to easily remove creases. Ensure sufficient water in the reservoir.
Anti-Dripping System
The iron stops vaporization automatically at low temperatures to prevent dripping, allowing ironing of delicate fabrics.
Auto-Off Function
The iron automatically switches off if left idle. The Auto-Off indicator symbol will flash. It takes about 60 seconds for the soleplate to reheat after Auto-Off. Moving the iron reactivates it.
Cleaning and Care
Cleaning
Do not use harsh cleaning agents, solvents, or abrasive brushes. Never add chemicals like vinegar or starch to the water tank. Do not wash under running water or immerse in liquid. Clean the soleplate with a slightly damp cloth after it has cooled.
Auto Calc-Clean
This feature removes calc particles. Use when the "CALC-CLEAN" warning appears. Fill water to MAX, plug in, and press temperature (7) and steam (11) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. The process takes 3 minutes. Unplug and let it cool before emptying the tank and container. Wash the container and wipe the iron.
Self-cleaning function removes dirt inside the soleplate. Recommended every 10-15 days.
Storage
If storing for a long period, unplug, let cool completely, empty the water reservoir, and store in original packaging in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
Handling and Transportation
Carry the iron in its original packaging to protect it from damage. Do not place heavy items on it. Avoid dropping the appliance.
