OPERATION

• Unpack unit.
• Use only adaptor provided.
• Plug into antenna socket of TV or Set Top Box (STB).
• Turn TV antenna to face local transmitter (See Optimal performance for details).
• Tune TV or STB to receive new channels.
• Store new channel.
• Watch TV.

OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE:

1. Do not place the TV Antenna near potential sources of interference (e.g., large metal objects, microwaves, A/C units, etc.).
2. Place the TV Antenna near windows and pointed toward broadcast towers. Please visit http://www.ukfree.tv/transmitters.php for broadcast-tower locations.

Please Note: Other variables, which are not related to antenna performance, can affect your reception. These include distance from the source transmitting the desired station, and man-made and natural conditions. Example: Obstacles such as buildings between the transmitting source and your antenna. If you live in an area with poor reception then your channel options may be limited. This does not mean this antenna is faulty. Your only solution would be an external antenna, satellite or cable receptions.

INTERNAL LTE 4G FILTER

This internal TV antenna contains a built-in LTE 4G filter which reduces the interference and distortion created by mobile 4G signals with TV signals. In areas with heavy 4G transmissions, the filter will not be as effective and you may still obtain some interference. In this case, you should discuss with your local authority.

HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL RECEPTION

You may need to check the actual Transmitter frequency whether it is a horizontal signal or vertical signal, this will depend on whether you need to change the orientation of the TV Antenna. Most transmitters in the UK are Horizontal, but some repeater transmitters in selected areas will need you to change to vertical reception. This can be done by rotating the unit 90 degrees and adjusting the legs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. I have a DVB-T ready TV. Why am I not getting any channels above 13?

A. The tuners inside of cable ready TVs have two modes. One mode is for DVB-T and the other mode is for Terrestrial. When the TV is in DVB-T mode, and you are using an antenna, you will not be able to receive any channels above 13. To fix this simply access the menu of your TV and switch the TV from DVB-T mode to ANT/AIR mode.

Q. I have my TV in a metal cabinet. Will the antenna work?

A. Any large metal objects will prevent the antenna signal from reaching the antenna. You must place the antenna away from or above the metal cabinet.

Q. My home has aluminium siding/insulation. Where should I place my antenna?

A. Place the antenna near a window to minimize interference and improve your reception.

Q. Can I use my antenna in a basement?

A. Antenna signals cannot penetrate into basement locations due to their lower elevation.

The exterior surface of the appliance should be wiped with a clean dry cloth only. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS, SOLVENTS OR POLISH ON ANY PART OF THIS APPLIANCE.
