DocumentDocumentINSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL POTHB1 / POTHB2 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation by the end user for future reference and maintenance. These instructions should be used to aid installation of the following products: POTHB1 / POTHB2 SAFETY · This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and current Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician · Please isolate mains prior to installation or maintenance · Check the total load on the circuit (including when this luminaire is fitted) does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse, or circuit breaker · Please note the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of this product when deciding the location for installation · Do not overload this accessory or subject it to conditions outside its rating · This product is for indoor use only · This product is Class I and must be earthed · This product is IP65 rated INSTALLATION Note Microwave sensors may not be suitable for all installations, for example enclosed spaces, as they are able to detect movement through non-metallic surfaces like plasterboard and thin doors. Suspension mounting · To suspend the fitting, screw the mounting hoop into the top of the luminaire (see Fig. 1) then secure using suitable fixing accessories. · Screw down mounting hoop Fig. 1 Bracket mounting · Using the POTHB·1BRAC or POTHB2BRAC mounting bracket as a template (sold separately), mark the location of the fixing holes, drill 2 x 10mm holes ensuring not to infringe with any gas / water pipes or electrical cables · Using a hammer,·tap the expansion bolts provided into the 10mm fixing holes (see Fig. 2) · Align the mountin·g bracket with the with the expansion bolts, attach the nuts and washers to the bolts and tighten securely to the surface Fig. 2 · Align the luminaire with the holes on·the sides of the bracket then adjust to the desired angle using the s·crews and nuts attaching the main body to the bracket (see Fig. 3) Fig. 3 WIRING · Provide power to the required point o·f installation · C··onnect the luminaire to the mains s·upply ensuring the correct polarity is observed: Live (brown), Earth (green/yellow), Neutral (blue) · · S·elect the desired power output and colour temperature via the switches on the rear of the luminaire (see Fig. 4) Fig. 4 · S·witch on and check for correct opera·tion. POTHBDALI DALI control module · The luminaire can be connected to a 0-10V dimmer or controlled via DALI (POTHBDALI is required, control gear and software not supplied) · Connect the luminaire to the DALI module ensuring the correct polarity is observed: GND (pink), +12V (black and white), 0-10V (purple) (see Fig. 5) Fig. 5 POTHBxL60 60° Lens · To replace the lens supplied with the luminaire for the optional 60° lens, remove all the screws that attach the lens to the luminaire and remove the existing lens. Align the replacement lens with the fitting ensuring all screw holes align including the centre ones, and replace the screws, ensuring a good seal is made. The three O-rings supplied must be fitted under the screw heads nearest to the centre of the lens. If not using a sensor attachment, the·threaded blanking piece must be transferred from the old lens to the new one. · POTHBMS Microwave sensor · POTHBRC (sold se·parately) is required to operate the sensor · · Using a screwdriver remove the blanking piece from the centre of the lens · Insert the sensor into the hole and screw clockwise ensuring a tight seal is made to maintain the IP rating (see Fig. 6) Fig. 6 · POTHBRC Remote control · Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) · Adjust sensor settings as required (see table below) Settings indicators show which functions have been selected Function settings ON/OFF To turn on the remote control, hold ON/OFF button until brightness indicator light is on. Press once to turn the sensor on/off. When the sensor is off, all functions except BRIGHTNESS and SEND are disabled. The remote control needs to be turned on to change any settings. BRIGHTNESS Press to adjust dimming level 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% SEND Press to save setting after each change. The indicator light will illuminate to confirm the setting. After each setting change SEND must be pressed to save the setting HOLD TIME STANDBY DIM Press to adjust the hold time 10s / 1min / 10min / 30min + / 1min / Press to adjust the standby dimming level 10% / 20% / 30% / 50% STANDBY TIME Press to adjust standby time + / 1min / 30min / 60min SENSITIVITY Press to adjust sensitivity 20% / 50% / 75% / 100% DAYLIGHT level P10re%ss/ sutnantidl bdyaytilmigeh+t indicator light is on then press to cycle through daylight threshold settings 10lx / 30lx / 50lx / 100lx RESET Press for factory settings: Brightness 70% / Hold time 10s / Sensitivity 20% / Daylight level disabled / Standby dimming level 10% / Standby time + + Press to increase brightness (0-100%) - Press to reduce brightness (100%-0) TEST Press to test the sensor. In test mode, hold time is 3s and all functions except SENSITIVITY and SEND are disabled WARNING This product must be disconnected from the circuit if subjected to any high voltage or insulation resistance testing. Irreparable damage will occur if this instruction is not followed. GENERAL This product contains a light source of energy efficiency class D to Regulation (EU) No. 2019/2015 and (UK) 2021 No. 1095. This product contains a non-replaceable light source and non-replaceable control gear Clean with a soft dry cloth only, do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents which may damage the product. Do not use any source of high-pressure washers to maintain or clean this luminaire. This product should be dismantled for disposal when it reaches the end of its life. Please see website for dismantling instructions. This product should be recycled in the correct manner when it reaches the end of its life. Check local authorities for where facilities exist. WARRANTY This product has a warranty of 5 years from date of purchase. Failure to install this product in accordance with the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671), improper use, or removal of the batch code will invalidate the warranty. If this product should fail within its warranty period, it should be returned to the place of purchase for a free of charge replacement. ML Accessories does not accept responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement product. Your statutory rights are not affected.
