Before installing, read all instructions. Only certified mechanics should install Dirt King products. Mandatory wheel alignment and ADAS calibration at certified facilities are required after suspension modifications. Failure to do so can lead to handling
problems and safety risks. Dirt King is not responsible for damages from improper installation or misuse. Adhere to your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations. For more information, visit https://dirtking.com/pages/disclaimer
Step 1: Disassembly Start by raising the vehicle and placing jack stands under the frame rails. Next, remove the front wheels and wheel well guards to the left and right of the coil bucket. Remove the brake line bracket and sway bar link from the knuckle. Separate the upper control arm from the knuckle and rotate upward. Remove the upper and lower shock bolts, then remove the shock from the vehicle. Now unbolt the sway bar bushings from the frame and install the sway bar spacer block with the provided hardware (Image 2). Note: Aftermarket upper control arms are required with these shocks.

Remove Sway bar
link.

Step 2: Assembly Some models require skid plate spacers to allow for proper clearance from the sway bar. Check if skid plate spacers are needed by rotating the sway bar up and down. If the components contact, then install spacers between the skid plate braces and the frame (Image 3 & 4). Align the top of shock to the coil bucket (Image 5). Apply blue thread locker to the top shock mounting bolts and torque to 35ft lbs. Place the lower shock eyelet into the lower control arm mount (Image 6). Apply blue thread locker and torque the factory lower shock bolts to 61ft lbs. Insert the upper control arm ball joint into the knuckle and torque to manufacturer's specs. Reinstall the sway bar link using the OE hardware and torque to 52ft lbs. Next reinstall the brake line brake and repeat steps to the other side. Once completed inspect your work and get the vehicle aligned by a qualified shop.
