Refrigerants

The following refrigerants are approved for use with the KP 15:

• R22, R134a, R404A, R407A, R407C, R407F, R422B, R422D, R438A, R448A, R449A, R450A, R452A, R507A, R513A

Technical Specifications

Temperature Limits:

• Minimum operating temperature (t₁ min.): -40 °C (-40 °F)
• Maximum operating temperature (t₁ max.): 65 °C (149 °F)

Pressure Connections:

• LP (Low Pressure) connection: 7/16 in SAE flare
• HP (High Pressure) connection: 7/16 in SAE flare

Maximum Test Pressure:

• LP: 14 bar (203 psig)
• HP: 35 bar (510 psig)

Electrical Connections

Caution: Disconnect power supply before making wiring connections or performing service to avoid possible electrical shock or damage to equipment. Never touch live parts with fingers or tools.

Contact Load:

• Max: 30 mA/30 V DC
• Min: 1 mA/5 V DC

Regulation Ratings:

• AC1: 10 A, 400 V
• AC3: 6 A, 400 V
• AC15: 4 A, 400 V
• DC13: 12 W, 220 V

Alarm (Au surface is burnt away):

• SPDT + LP signal

Manual Trip Function

The pressure switch features a manual trip function for testing purposes. The diagram shows how to activate the manual trip using the test button. Note: Use fingers only for the test function; do not use a screwdriver.

Pressure Adjustment

The pressure switch allows for adjustment of both the LP and HP setpoints and their differentials. The diagrams illustrate the adjustment process for both low and high pressure sides.

Enclosure Types

The KP 15 is available with different enclosure types:

• A: 8-32 UNC (M4)
• B: Enclosure IP30 (EN 60529)
• C: Enclosure IP44 (EN 60529)

A maximum enclosure opening of 3 mm (1/8 in) is indicated.
