Daewoo Double Drawer Air Fryer - User Manual

Introduction

This household Daewoo Double Drawer Air Fryer cooks using very little or no cooking oil for healthier cooking. If a little oil is required for extra browning, use a moderate amount of spray type cooking oil.

WARNING: DO NOT fill your Air Fryer with cooking oil as this will cause a fire and scalding hazard. DO NOT fill your Air Fryer with water as this will cause a scalding hazard. DO NOT use metal cooking tools with this Air Fryer as damage may occur to the non-stick coating. Only use wooden or plastic (nylon) tools.

Additional Safety Information

Ensure the Air Fryer is used in an open, well-ventilated area, away from other appliances and obstructions.

Do not use the Air Fryer in front of, near, or below combustible materials (plastics, curtains, cupboards).

Do not place the appliance against a wall or other appliances. Maintain at least 10cm free space on the back and sides, and 10cm above the appliance.

Do not place anything on top of the appliance.

Before the First Use

Control Panel Functions

Cooking Pre-Sets

Select one of the 8 pre-set cooking programs. Time and temperature are set automatically. Cooking starts 5 seconds after selection, or press Power/Start/Pause to begin immediately.

Pre-set programs can be overridden by pressing Time/Temperature, then using Increase/Decrease buttons.

Match Cook Button

Press the Match Cook button (11) to duplicate time and temperature settings for both baskets, or to program both baskets simultaneously.

Basket Control Buttons

Press Left Basket Control (21) or Right Basket Control (12) to select a basket; the respective button will illuminate. The selected basket's control will flash.

Power/Start/Pause Button

Press the Power/Start/Pause button (13) to switch the unit on. All function buttons illuminate, and LED displays show '-----'. The unit enters standby mode after 3 minutes of inactivity, with only the Power/Start/Pause button illuminated.

Press and hold Power/Start/Pause (13) to switch off. Displays show 'OFF', and the internal fan runs briefly to cool the unit.

Shake/Turn Alarm Button

Used for most pre-sets (except Pizza/Cake). Press at the start of cooking; the air fryer will beep approximately two-thirds through the cooking time as a reminder to shake contents. Press again to turn off the alarm.

LED Displays

Left & Right LED Displays (18 & 15) show set temperature and set/remaining cooking time.

Increase & Decrease Buttons

Increase (16) and Decrease (17) buttons adjust set temperature or time. Time increments by 1 minute, temperature by 5°C. Press and hold for fast cycling (1-60 mins, 60-200°C).

Time/Temperature Button

Press Time/Temperature (19) to toggle between adjusting time and temperature, then use Increase/Decrease buttons.

Menu Select Button

Press Menu Select (20) to cycle through 8 Cooking Pre-Sets (10). Press Power/Start/Pause (13) to confirm.

Sync Finish Button

Press Sync Finish (22) to ensure both baskets finish cooking simultaneously. Set desired times/temperatures for both baskets, then press Sync Finish. The basket with the shorter cooking time will display 'HOLD' while synchronizing.

Instructions for Use

Cooking with Your Air Fryer

Place the air fryer on a solid, level, heat-resistant surface clear of obstructions.

Insert the mains plug into an outlet socket.

WARNING: Take care handling Air Fryer Baskets; use oven gloves.

  1. Remove baskets (3, 6) and place trivets (9) with silicone feet in the bottom of each basket.
  2. Slide baskets fully into the air fryer. The unit will not function if baskets are not fully inserted.
  3. Trivets lift food and provide air circulation.
  4. Remove the basket to be used. Ensure the trivet is in place.
  5. Place food into the basket, leaving adequate room for air circulation; do not fill to the brim.
  6. Insert the basket fully home. The unit will not operate if the basket is removed or not fully inserted.
  7. Press Power/Start/Pause (13); the control panel (1) illuminates.
  8. Select a basket using Left Basket Control (21) or Right Basket Control (12). The selected control flashes.
  9. Select a Cooking Pre-Set (10) using Menu Select (20).
  10. Alternatively, press Time/Temperature (19) to select time/temperature, then use Increase (16) or Decrease (17) to set manually.
  11. Press Power/Start/Pause (13) to start cooking.
  12. To use the other basket, repeat steps 4-6. Alternatively, use Match Cook (11) to transfer settings and then press Power/Start/Pause (13).
  13. If cooking times differ, use Sync Finish (22) to ensure both baskets finish at the same time.
  14. When cooking is complete, the unit beeps 5 times, and displays show 'OFF OFF'.
  15. Remove baskets and serve. Place on a heat-proof surface if needed.

Non-Rewireable Mains Plug

If the plug needs replacing, use an ASTA approved fuse of the same rating (conforming to BS 1362). Never use a plug with a missing fuse cover. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.

To remove the plug: DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS, cut the plug off the mains lead, and dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse or insert it into a socket outlet due to the risk of electric shock.

Ingredients: 4 Potatoes (approx. 600g), 2 tsp Oil, 1 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Pepper powder, 1 tsp Shallot powder, ½ tsp Red chili powder.
