VEEV Pods: Safety Warnings and Instructions

Preparation

Remove the seal tab before using the VEEV pod.

VEEV pods can only be used with the IQOS VEEV device. Do not use the VEEV pod if it appears to be damaged, tampered with, broken, or leaking.

Intended Users

• IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods are for adult use only.
• IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods are for current adult e-cigarette users and smokers who would otherwise continue to use tobacco or nicotine-containing products. Their use by non-smokers is not recommended.
• Children and adolescents should never use IQOS VEEV or VEEV pods under any circumstances.
• IQOS VEEV or VEEV pods should not be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

Nicotine Information

• VEEV pods contain nicotine, which is addictive.
• IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods are not risk-free. The best way to reduce nicotine-related health risk is to quit using tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
• Some consumers of IQOS VEEV reported experiencing (in alphabetical order) abdominal pain, cough dizziness, dry mouth, headache, malaise, nasal stuffiness, nausea, mouth irritation, throat irritation, vomiting.
• Nicotine-containing products should not be used by people who have or are at risk of heart disease, are diabetic, are epileptic or are experiencing seizures.
• Nicotine-containing products should not be used during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or think you may be pregnant, you should quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
• Stopping smoking or switching to IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods or other nicotine-containing products may require the adjustment of the dosing of certain medicines (e.g. theophylline, clozapine, ropinirole).
• If you have questions about whether you should use IQOS VEEV or VEEV pods given an existing health condition, you should consult a health care professional.

• Do not use this product if the VEEV pod appears to be damaged, tampered with, broken, or leaking.
• In case of contact with leaking e-liquid from VEEV pod, wash the affected area immediately with soap and water.

▲ CAUTION | Allergic Reaction Risk

• Using IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods could cause an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, gums, throat, or body, difficulty breathing, or wheezing.
• Stop using IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods and seek medical attention immediately if you experience any of the symptoms above as they may indicate a serious allergic reaction.

Exclusive Use of VEEV pods

• Only purchase IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods from your local or online IQOS store or other authorized retailers.
• Only use VEEV pods with IQOS VEEV. Never use IQOS VEEV with other pods. Doing so may cause injury.
• Do not modify or attempt to refill VEEV pods in any way or add any substance to VEEV pods. Doing so may cause injury.

Storage

• Do not expose this product to excessive heat or moisture.
• Store in the original packaging at room temperature.
• Due to risk of VEEV pod leaking with altitude changes, it is not recommended to fly with VEEV pods that have been removed from packaging or partially used.

Reporting of adverse events or incidents

• If you experience any unwanted health effect when using IQOS VEEV and VEEV pods, consult a health care professional.
• You can report any adverse event or incident directly by contacting your local Call Center (details can be found in the Customer Care & Warranty booklet). By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this product.

Information for Disposing of VEEV pods

Valid across European Union and EEA

The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product and its individual parts must not be disposed of with your other household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.

The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.

Disposing waste equipment as unsorted municipal waste (e.g. by waste incineration or land filling) can have negative effects on the environment and human health.

For more information about where you can drop off your waste equipment for recycling, please contact your local city office, your local household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

The local importer of the product will provide for the financing of the treatment and recycling of waste equipment returned through these designated collection points in accordance with local requirements.
