ATEN KH2508A/KH2516A: 2-Console 8/16-Port Cat 5 KVM Switch with Daisy-Chain Ports
Product Overview
The ATEN KH2508A/KH2516A are control units designed to provide access and control over multiple computers from two KVM consoles. These switches enable operators to simultaneously manage up to 8 (KH2508A) or 16 (KH2516A) computers. By daisy-chaining up to 15 additional switches, the system can be expanded to control up to 128 or 256 computers from a single KVM console. Engineered for server rooms and data centers, these KVM switches offer advanced features for efficient equipment management.
Key features include an Adapter ID function that stores adapter ID, port name, operating system, and keyboard language settings, eliminating the need for manual reconfiguration when moving servers. The switches also support extending video signals up to 50 meters at a resolution of 1280 x 1024. Furthermore, the KH2508A/KH2516A are compatible with a wide range of ATEN KVM adapters, supporting various interface combinations such as PS/2, USB, VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, Sun, and Serial interfaces for flexible computer control.
Note: These KVM switches are designed for use with the KA7000 series KVM adapters. For detailed information, please refer to page 3. The KH2508A/KH2516A offer improved Full HD video quality.
