Ubiquiti UniFi Protect AI Port Installation Guide

This guide provides instructions for installing the Ubiquiti UniFi Protect AI Port.

Step 1: Prepare for Mounting

This step involves preparing the wall for bracket installation.

Tools Required:

Mounting Process:

  1. Mark the desired location on the wall using a pencil.
  2. Drill holes at the marked locations for the wall anchors.
  3. Insert the wall anchors into the drilled holes.

Step 2: Attach Mounting Bracket

Secure the mounting bracket to the wall.

  1. Align the mounting bracket (c) with the prepared holes on the wall.
  2. Secure the bracket using screws (d) and anchors (e) into the wall.

Step 3: Components Overview

The following components are included with the AI Port:

Step 4: Mount the AI Port

Attach the AI Port device to the installed bracket.

  1. Align the AI Port device (a) with the mounting bracket (c).
  2. Secure the AI Port to the bracket using the M3 screws (d and e).

Step 5: Network Connection Overview

The AI Port integrates into your UniFi Protect network. A typical network setup is illustrated below.

Network diagram: Internet ? connects to UniFi Cloud Gateway ?️, which connects to Switching ?️. The Switching unit provides PoE IN power to a Camera ?. The AI Port is implied to connect into this network, likely near the camera or gateway.

Step 6: Install UniFi Protect App

Download and install the UniFi Protect application on your mobile device to manage your AI Port and cameras.
