READ ALL INSTRUCTION THROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN COSTLY ENGINE AND/OR SYSTEM DAMAGE!!! ***IF UNSURE ABOUT INTAKE SYSTEM INSTALLATION PLEASE HAVE A REPUTABLE PERFORMANCE SHOP OR A LICENCED MECHANIC INSTALL THIS SYSTEM*** ***FOR YOUR SAFETY, ALLOW ENGINE TO COOL FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION*** ***PLEASE CHECK AND MAKE SURE ALL HARDWARE IS PRESENT BEFORE INSTALLATION. PARTS LIST ON LAST PAGE*** A.R.B INFORMATION ***THIS DC SPORTS INTAKE ARE CARB EXEMPT PER EO#D-370-13 96-00 HONDA CIVIC 1.6L LX CX DX*** TOOLS REQUIRERD Ratchet 6mm, 8mm, and 11mm deep socket Flat Screwdriver Phillips Screwdriver 12" Extension REMOVAL OF STOCK INTAKE AND INSTALLATION OF INTAKE SYSTEM 1 Remove upper section of factory air box by unclipping two tabs. 2. Remove factory filter. 3. Remove the air temperature sensor from the factory lower air box. *DO NOT PULL WIRES, PULL FROM THE SENSOR* 4. Remove the clip holding the air temperature harness from the lower section air box. 5. Remove the 8mm bolt on the passenger side of the factory air box. 6. Remove the crankcase vent hose from the lower factory air box by squeezing the clip and pulling away. 7. Locate and remove the 8mm bolt securing the air box to the throttle body. 8. Remove the resonator box my locating two 10mm bolts securing the box to the chassis. 9. Install provided 2.5" straight hose and two clamps onto the throttle body, but only tighten down the clamp on the throttle body side as of now. 10. On the passenger shock tower unclip the wire harness. 11. Above where you have just unclipped the wire harness remove the 10mm bolt and install provided vibration mount. 12. Loosely install the primary tube onto the throttle body and align welded bracket onto the vibration Mount and secure bracket with provided washer and lock nut. 13. Tighten other clamp on the throttle body to secure the primary intake tube. 14. Install the provided 2.5" straight hose coupler with two clamps onto the secondary tube. 15. Position pipe for clearance around the transmission and tighten clamps. 16. Install air temp sensor into the rubber grommet on the intake tube. 17. WARNING MAKE SURE ENGINE IS COOL BEFORE THESE NEXT STEPS. 18. On the valve cover unplug the factory vacuum line and unplug the 8mm factory coolant line attached to the steel plumbing. 19. Remove entire plumbing. NOTE: this plumbing will have the coolant line and vacuum line attached. 20. Install provided 8mm hose with factory clamps to replace the coolant line that was just removed, Check coolant level. 21. Install provided 10mm vacuum hose into the crankcase nipple and other end into the intake tube nipple. 22. Jack up car and use jack stands foe safety and remove front passenger wheel. 23. Remove the philip's screw and plastic clip attaching the fender liner to the front bumper and pull down for temporary clearance. 24. Install the DC Sports air filter onto the intake tube. 25. Reinstall the factory liner in reverse order of removal. 26. Installation is now complete check all work performed. ***LIMITED 3 YEAR WARRANTY*** DC Sports only warranty's intake systems due to poor workmanship. We do not cover normal wear and tear damages due to misuse or abuse. We do not warranty the finish of intake tubes. Warranty covers the original owner of intake system by having proof of purchase. We have the right to void all warranty if you cannot provide the information needed by DC Sports. DC Sports does not cover any cost for installation or removal of products. ***CAUTION*** DC Sports does not assume any liability for damage caused by rain or floods causing the intake system for taking on water. We recommend that you remove the cold air intake system due to wet conditions. ***WARRANTY CLAIMS*** All warranty claims must be shipped prepaid by the customer to DC Sports.
