ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

Thank you for choosing the solar powered PIC® Pest Free Living Patio Lantern. Please read this owner's manual carefully to ensure use of this product complies with all safety regulations.

This weatherproof unit is designed to charge in direct sunlight. It is equipped with a UV light function and a zapping grid which kills bugs on contact. The flame effect serves as a beautiful accent light. The white LED light is suitable for illuminating the area. It's recommended to place the product away from your outdoor living space when using as a zapper.

Both modes are controlled by the power button located near the bottom of the device. Simply press the button per the Directions for Use to toggle through the functions. When turning the unit on, the first mode is UV/Zapper/Flame Effect. The second mode is Zapper/white LED Lantern. Pressing the button a third time powers the device off.

Product image may vary slightly due to continued product enhancements.

The lantern unit features a central Zapping Grid. Above the grid, a Flickering Flame and Lantern effect is visible. At the base of the unit, there is a Power Button. A Catch Tray is located on the back side of the unit.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

For optimal performance, charge the device in direct sunlight for a minimum of 6 hours prior to each use.

  1. To turn the device ON, simply press the power button to activate the Zapper/UV/Flame Effect mode. (By keeping the device on at all times, the device will recharge during the day in direct sunlight and the dusk-til-dawn sensor will activate the flames again at night.)
  2. To switch from Flame Effect mode to Zapper/White LED Lantern mode, simply press the power button again.
  3. To turn the device OFF, press the power button one final time. Keep the device off when not in use.

Prior to cleaning the device, ensure the device is powered off. Wait 45 minutes for the grid to lose power. Gently use canned air or hair dryer on cool/high setting to blow out accumulated debris from the zapping grid. Periodically remove the catch tray located on the back of the device to shake out dead insects and debris from the inside as well.

Pro Tip: For off-season storage, save the outer box, this manual, and packing materials. Ensure the product is OFF per directions above before storing.
