Brand: Sinopé
Models: VA4220WF, VA4221WF
Warnings
Installation must be performed by a certified professional according to local and national construction codes.
Caution: The valve closes with significant force. Keep fingers clear of the ball valve during operation.
It is recommended to test the valve before installation to ensure proper operation.
Available Accessories
- Flow Sensor FS4220
- Light Switch / Dimmers SW2500ZB, DM2500ZB/DM2550ZB
- Smart Outlet SP2610ZB
- Smart Plug SP2600ZB

Step 1: Connecting the Valve to Your Wi-Fi Network
Download the free Neviweb app from the App Store ? or Google Play ▶️.
Note: The valve can operate without an internet connection, but you will not receive leak detection notifications. Refer to www.sinopetech.com/support for details.
Remove the valve cover by unscrewing the 4 screws with a flat screwdriver ?.
Connect the valve to an electrical outlet using the supplied adapter near its installation location. This verifies Wi-Fi communication range.
Open the Neviweb app, log in, or create an account.
Follow the in-app steps to add a device.
Connect your Sinopé smart water leak detectors (refer to Step 2).
Step 2: Connecting the Water Leak Detectors to the Smart Water Valve
Ensure the valve's mode switch is in position "1" and the valve is plugged into a power outlet.
Press the "B" button on the valve to initiate the detector network connectivity session. Indicator lights will illuminate sequentially.
Press the detector's connection button. Status indicators:
- [green light] blinking: Device is connecting
- [green light] solid for 10s: Successful connection
- [red light] on: Connection failed (refer to www.sinopetech.com/support)
Connect the detector to the network from its installation location to ensure it's within the valve's RF signal range. Remove the detector cover and pull out the battery tab to activate it.
Once all detectors are connected, press the "B" button on the valve again to close the connectivity session.
Connection status can be verified by pressing the detector's button; a green light for 10 seconds indicates a connected unit.
Step 3: Installation of the Smart Water Leak Detectors
Place detectors (WL4200) in areas prone to water leakage, such as near water heaters, drain pumps, bathtubs, or sinks.
Water leak detectors with sensors (WL4200S) are designed for hard-to-reach locations like under dishwashers or behind washing machines.
Connect the sensor to the detector.
Attach the detector to a clean surface where immersion is unlikely. Use provided screws or the adhesive backing.
Position the sensor or attach it to the wall with the electrodes facing the ground.
Test the detector by briefly touching its electrodes with a small amount of water (approx. 1 tsp). The audible alarm should activate. Wipe electrodes with a dry cloth to stop the alarm. If the alarm does not activate, consult the website.
Step 4: Installation of the Smart Water Valve
Ensure the valve is in the "OPEN" position before installation. Separate the controller from the ball valve by removing the pin (A) and tilting/sliding the controller backward (B).
Close the main water supply. Open nearby faucets to relieve water pressure. Remove valve safety caps.
Install the smart water valve downstream of the main water shut-off valve. Additional fittings may be required depending on plumbing. Seal fittings with Teflon tape or paste.
Before reattaching the controller, confirm both the valve and controller are in the "OPEN" position.
Reattach the controller to the valve and insert the pin to secure it.
Power the valve using the AC adapter. For emergency backup, insert 4 AAA lithium batteries (not included). Do not insert batteries before the valve is connected to water and powered by the adapter.
Open the main water supply and check for leaks.
