2.3 I nstall reader
The inst allat ion of t he reader should pay at t ent ion t o t he following m at t ers: (1) The VF- 7 47P reader has no special wat erproof and dust proof t reat m ent , and it s working t em perat ure range is: - 20~ + 40; t herefore, it is m ore suitable for working in an indoor environm ent. I f you want to install it outdoors, you m ust put the reader and power converter in the prot ect ive box. The prot ect ive box is required t o have t he funct ions of rainproof, dustproof, heat preservation and heat insulation to provide a better working environm ent for the reader. (2) The RF line dist ance bet ween t he posit ion where t he reader is placed and the antenna should not exceed 10 m eters (3 m eters is better). (3) The m axim um dist ance of reliable com m unicat ion bet ween t he reader and the controller varies with t he dat a int erface When using t he RJ45 int erface t o com m unicat e: Support 10M/ 100M t ransm ission rat e, using a network cable, it is recom m ended that the t ransm ission distance should not be great er than 50 m et ers. When using RS485 int erface com m unicat ion: t he t wo wires RS485+ ( brown) and RS485- ( blue) on t he reader should be connect ed t o t he corresponding t wo pins of the controller. I t is recom m ended that the t ransm ission dist ance should not be greater than 80 m eters. For RS232 int erface: You can use t he support ing cable t o direct ly connect t o t he PC. I t is recom m ended t hat t he t ransm ission dist ance should not be great er t han 10 m et ers. The connect ion diagram is shown in t he figure below:

2.4 I nstall ant enna
The antenna installation needs to consider factors such as position, height and angle to meet the following application requirements: (1) Ensure that the antenna beam range can cover the range of reliable reading of electronic tags. (2) Ensure that the length of the RF cable from the antenna to the reader is not more than 10 meters, preferably not more than 3 meters. (3) Depending on the specific application, the antenna can be installed horizontally top-mounted (gantry) or vertical side-mounted (post), but the polarization direction of the antenna must be consistent with the polarization direction of the electronic tag.
2.5 Connect t he ant enna and reader
The VF-747P reader provides 4 SMA male RF interfaces, which require low-loss coaxial cables to be connected to the antenna. Since the longer the cable length, the greater the attenuation of the high-frequency signal, the shorter the cable length is required for the application, the better. Increasing the length of the cable or using an ordinary cable will affect the reading and writing distance of the reader. When the connection distance between the antenna and the reader is within 3 meters, it is recommended to use the1/2 feeder; when the distance is more than 3 meters, the 7/8 feeder. The cable length must not exceed 10 meters. The cable connector is connected with the antenna and the reader terminal Should be tightened. After the cable connector is tightened, the cable connector should be sealed by heating and shrinking or tightening with tape to protect the cable connector. WIFI/4G connection port and antenna (this port is optional)
N ote: I t is not recom m ended to use ordinary cables to connect the antenna; it is not recom m ended to assem ble the cable connector by y ou r se lf .
2.6 Connect t he r eader and t he host com put er
The VI-IR610P reader can be connect ed t o t he host com put er ( or PC) t hrough eit her of t he RS232 or RJ45 port s t o receive com m ands and send dat a.

2.7 Connect ing power Supplies
The VF- 747P reader/ writ er adopt s + 12/ 3A DC power supply. Along wit h t he reader, our com pany provides an AC/ DC convert er t hat m eet s t his requirem ent . The power connect ion m et hod is as follows:
( 1) Check and confirm whet her t he volt age and working frequency of t he AC power supply m eet t he requirem ent s of: AC100240V/ 50Hz; ( 2) I nsert t he DC out put plug of t he power convert er int o t he + 12V DC input port of t he reader ( 3) I nsert or connect t he 220V AC power input line of t he convert er t o t he AC power supply line. ( 4) The red indicat or light of t he power supply of t he reader should be on, indicat ing t hat t he power input is normal.
2.8 The equipm ent alignm ent
The key of device alignm ent is t o adj ust t he height , direct ion Angle and inclinat ion of the ant enna so that t he reader can read t he electronic t ags wit hin t he desired range. The debugging m et hod is:
( 1) Turn on t he power of t he reader, set t he reader t o t he t im ing working m ode, close t he param et er set t ing program and disconnect t he connect ion wit h t he PC. ( 2) Turn off t he power of t he reader and t hen t urn it on again, t he reader will aut om at ically ent er t he tim ing working state. ( 3) Because t he m at erial of t he ident ified obj ect is different , t he required label is also different . Therefore, when debugging, the elect ronic label should be affixed t o t he obj ect wit h t he sam e m at erial as t he surface of t he ident ified obj ect , and back and fort h wit hin t he range where the label is expect ed to be read. Move obj ect s. I f t he reader can read t he elect ronic label correct ly, t he built - in buzzer will sound and t he RF The LED flashes. ( 4) Carefully adj ust t he height and angle of t he ant enna t o m ake t he reading range t he best . N ote: The reader only radiat es m icrow ave pow er w hen reading and w rit ing t ags. At this t im e, t he inst allat ion and debugging personnel should be at least 7 0 cm aw ay from t he ant enna t o m e e t t he r e qu ire m e n t s of t h e US FCC for t h e hu m a n body . Exposure t o t he m axim um allow able radio frequency ( RF) radiat ion requirem ents.
