- Stimulation Levels: Patented Exact-stim stimulation control offers precise correction levels (0-127) for every dog's temperament, providing a wide range without jumps.
- Stimulation Types – “Nick” and “Constant”: Nick stimulation is a momentary rapid burst for attention. Constant stimulation is continuous as long as the button is depressed, with a 12-second safety shut-off.
- Non-stimulating Attention Getter: The pager feature provides a non-stimulating vibration to get the dog's attention.
- Receiver/Collar Size: Low/medium output units have a reduced receiver for dogs as small as 15 lbs. Low/high output units can be used comfortably on dogs as small as 35 lbs.
- Stimulation Output: Dogtra offers two types of stimulation output units: low/medium for dogs with mild dispositions, and low/high for stubborn dogs or demanding training situations.
- Waterproof: Most Dogtra e-collars are fully waterproof (both handheld transmitter and receiver/collar). Note: the iQ Pet series handheld transmitters are water-resistant.
- Ranges: Dogtra offers e-collars with various ranges: 1 mile, ¾ mile, ½ mile, and 400 yards.
- Battery Type/Charging Time: Ni-MH batteries require 10-hr charging time. Lithium Polymer batteries offer 2-hr rapid charge.
- Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): Most units have an LCD screen to view the exact stimulation level and remaining battery life. The screen has a backlight for low light or night time usage.
- Belt Clip: Some units include a belt clip for easy carrying of the transmitter.
