Appendix 1 - Ratings
Tablet Interfaces
The tablet's interfaces are as follows:
Docking
The IS-DS940.1 docking station (12-pin) for charging and data transfer is permitted for use in hazardous areas. The docking interface ports may remain open in hazardous areas. An optional cover can be fitted to prevent contamination. Parameters are defined in document 1065AD05.
ISM (Intrinsic Safety Module)
The 16-pin ISM interface allows the use of approved audio peripherals and add-ons in hazardous areas.

- IS-PTTB1A.1 PTT button IS-HDHS1x.1 headset
IS-HDHS1x.1 Stereo headset derivative models:

Peripherals compatible with the 16-pin ISM interface parameters, in accordance with document 1065AD04, are also permitted.
USB-C
The device is also equipped with a USB-C interface. It can be used for charging and data transfer in normal locations. Peripherals compatible with the USB-C interface include the i.safe PROTECTOR 2.0, other peripherals approved by i.safe MOBILE, or peripherals that guarantee Um = 5.88 V.

Commercial nano SIM and microSD cards can be inserted into compatible slots in hazardous areas. Their internal electrical capacitance and inductance are negligible and comply with intrinsically safe parameters.
Appendix 2 - Conditions of Use
The following conditions must be observed:
- Permissible ambient temperature range is -20°C to +55°C.
- Permissible charging temperature range is limited to 0°C to +45°C.
- Charging is permitted only via the IS-DS940.1 docking station or the i.safe PROTECTOR 2.0.
- The equipment must not be subjected to excessive UV radiation or high-voltage static electricity.
- In explosive atmospheres, do not replace the battery or use the USB-C interface.
- If no certified peripherals are attached, the cover for the 16-pin ISM interface must always remain closed (refer to certificate appendix document).
- If the IS-DS940.1 docking station is not connected, the docking cover must always remain closed.
