Important Safety Information
WARNING: This Quick Reference Guide is not a substitute for reading the operator's manual. To reduce the risk of injury or death, the user must read and understand the operator's manual before using this product. All pages reference the operator's manual.
DANGER: Using a generator indoors can be fatal within minutes. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, an invisible and odorless poison. Never use indoors, even with open doors/windows. Use only outdoors, far from windows, doors, and vents. Avoid other generator hazards; read the manual before use.
CAUTION: Failure to remove support brackets can result in generator damage, personal injury, and void the warranty.
WARNING: Do not overload the generator or electrical cords. Consult the operation manual.
Step 1: Install the Wheel Kit
Slide the axle pin (B) through the wheel (C), flat washer (D), and the mount point on the frame (E). Secure with cotter pin (F), then attach cap (A) to the wheel (C).
Attach the support leg (H) to the generator frame using flange bolt (G) (M8x16) and flange lock nut (I) (M8).
Diagram Description: Shows parts labeled A (Cap), B (Axle pin), C (Wheel), D (Flat washer), E (Mount point on frame), F (Cotter pin), G (Flange bolt), H (Support leg), I (Flange lock nut). The process involves sliding pin B through wheel C, washer D, and frame mount E, securing with cotter pin F, and attaching cap A to wheel C. Support leg H is attached to the generator frame with bolt G and nut I.
Step 2: Battery Cable Connection
A quick-connect battery plug is pre-installed on the battery. Cut the cable tie securing the plugs and push the two halves (A and B) firmly together to connect them.
Diagram Description: Illustrates the connection of battery cable halves, labeled A and B, which are designed to quick-connect.
Step 3: Add Lubricant and Fuel
Use a funnel to pour the provided engine oil into the engine. Fill to the upper mark of the oil dipstick (H).
Use clean, fresh, regular UNLEADED gasoline with a minimum 87 octane.
Diagram Description: Depicts adding engine oil using a funnel, referencing the oil dipstick labeled H. Also shows the fuel cap and a red line indicator for the fuel level.
Step 4: Adjust Shock-absorbing Seat
Before operating the generator, adjust the shock-absorbing seat (cushion) for proper clearance. Loosen the lock nut and adjust the seat so there is a 3mm gap (↔️ 3mm) between the top of the seat and the bottom of the motor bracket. Re-tighten the lock nut.
Diagram Description: Shows the adjustment of the shock-absorbing seat. A visual cue indicates a 3mm gap (↔️ 3mm) between the seat and the motor bracket.
Step 5: Removal of Shipping Support Brackets
Remove bolt (E) using an 8mm-10mm double open wrench (B).
Remove bolt (F) and nut (C) using a 13mm-15mm double open wrench (A) and an 8mm-10mm double open wrench (B).
Diagram Description: Illustrates the removal of shipping support brackets. Bolt E is shown being removed with an 8mm-10mm wrench (? 8-10mm), and bolt F and nut C are shown being removed with a 13mm-15mm wrench (? 13-15mm) and an 8mm-10mm wrench (? 8-10mm).
Step 6: Start Generator
Move the generator outside to a flat, level surface, away from doors, windows, and vents.
Starting Procedures:
- Add gasoline to the fuel tank.
- Recoil Start:
- Move the choke lever to the "START" position.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the ON position.
- Turn the battery switch to the "ON" (I) position.
- Pull the recoil starter slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
- Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.
- Remote Start: Turn and hold the REMOTE START switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts.
- Electric Start: Turn and hold the ENGINE START/STOP switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts.
Connecting Load: Plug in items to be powered using only grounded extension cords.
Diagram Description: Shows the choke lever (move to 'START' or 'RUN'), the starting dial switch, the battery switch (ON/OFF), the recoil starter mechanism, the remote start switch, and the electric start/stop switch. It also shows connecting loads using grounded extension cords.
Step 7: Shutdown and Storage
Remove any load from the generator.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the OFF position.
- Push STOP on the remote start key fob for 3 seconds, or push and hold the START/STOP button for 3 seconds.
- Turn off the battery switch to the "OFF" position.
If the generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the operator's manual for further instructions.
Diagram Description: Illustrates the shutdown process: removing load, turning the starting dial switch to OFF, pressing the STOP button on the remote key fob or the main START/STOP button for 3 seconds, and turning the battery switch to OFF.
