X-ray Manikin Installation Instructions Our X-ray Dental Manikin is utilized to teach students how to take X-ray images within the oral cavity. Students gain practice learning how to properly position the image receptor for periapical and bitewing images. Images simulate life-like human tooth anatomy. Used with the X-ray manikin, the Occluded Radiographic Typodont has 32 radiopaque teeth, a simulated tongue mounted on articulated Magnetic Quick Disconnect trays and a sliding clamp for easy adjustment of the mouth. X-ray Manikin Parts Included: Magnetic Quick Disconnect X-ray Typodont with tongue and sliding clamp for bite adjustment, Cranium with buckle plates, Fletcher Mask with zipper and chair mount. How to Mount X-ray Manikin: 1 Step Attach chair mount to the chair and tighten clamp securely. Examples of X-ray teeth 2 Step Slide the X-ray articulator (and jaws) with sliding clamp over the rod. Tighten the sliding clamp approx five inches from the top of the rod. Next tighten the X-ray typodont clamps into place. 3 Step Place the cranium onto the rod and slide the cranium down as close to the X-ray typodont as possible, then tighten clamps into position. 4 Step Slide the opened Fletcher zippered mask over the cranium making sure to pull the chin portion of the mask over the lower jaws. Zip mask at the back of the head. *Please use caution when repackaging the X-ray manikin not to fracture the articulator.
