1.1 - What's Inside the Box

1.4 - Precautions

Locations

Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction:

  • In direct sunlight
  • Location of extreme temperature or humidity
  • Excessively dusty or dirty locations
  • Locations of excessive vibration
  • Close to magnetic fields

Power Supply

Use only the Power supply provided with the unit and connect the cable to the correct port on the device.

Interference with Other Electrical Devices

Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate the unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.

Handling

To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force on the button.

Care

If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean and dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds of flammable polishes.

Keep Foreign Matter Out of Your Unit

Never set any container with liquid in it near this unit. If liquid gets into the unit, it could cause a breakdown, fire, or electrical shock. Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment. If something does slip into the unit, unplug the Power and/or the USB cable, then contact your nearest IK Multimedia dealer or the store where the equipment was purchased.

2 - Installation and Setup

2.1 - Front Panel

The front panel features a sleek design with three main indicators/controls. Number 1 is the POWER LED, which illuminates when the unit is powered on. Number 2 is the SIGNAL/CLIP LED, indicating input signal level (Green for present, Red for clipping) and calibration loading status (Green for success, Red for error). Number 3 is the CORRECTION button, which enables or disables audio processing. When CORRECTION is off, the unit is bypassed and the input signal is routed directly to the output. Keeping this button pressed during power-up makes the unit boot into DFU mode.

2.2 - Rear Panel

The rear panel provides all necessary connections. Number 1 indicates the INPUT XLR balanced connectors. Number 2 indicates the OUTPUT XLR balanced connectors. Number 3 is the USB Type-C port for connecting ARC Studio to a Mac/PC. Number 4 is the DC IN barrel jack for the power supply unit (5V, 3A).

  • Max Phase Deviation: +7° 20Hz, +16° 22kHz

  • Output Impedance (balanced): 50 Ohm
  • Maximum output level: +17 dBu
